And just last week I did throw away 3 empty rolls that were neatly aligned on the back of the toilet. ![]()

If you like porkchops I have a really good recipe for a pork chop casserole, and also a jambalaya(sp) that I fix Porkchop casserole Put just enough oil in bottom of skillet to cover it. Cut up 4 tomatoes in wedges, Chopped onion, Chopped bell pepper I just put in however much I want it's not really measured. Mushrooms again I normally use 2 small cans drained, Italian seasonins, minced garlic, oregano. Simmer until have to drain the juices off in a collander. Microwave 2 pouches of rice. Fry pork chops on each side just long enough to brown. Do this while rice is cooking. When everything is done layer rice, tomato mixture and pork chops until you use it all in a casserole dish sprayed with pam and bake at 325 for 45 min to an hour depending on oven. Jambayla 2 tsp butter or margarine 1 onion and bell pepper chopped, mushrooms, italian seasonings, garlic, oregano. (Add to margarine in stock pan once it is melted. Add 1 can diced tomatos undrained, 2 bags of microwave rice(cooked) 4 cups of water and salad shrimp(frozen) Heat until hot. Both of these recipes are doubled because I make enough for leftovers for my husband for work the next day and to also have again later in the week.

Thank you!!! Those sound good!! I really was wanting recipes when I started this thread, then it digressed into 'housekeeping habits of a bachelor', which is actually pretty funny! I can laugh at myself!!! ![]() And in my own defense, I'm not a total slob, my kitchen and living room (and guest bathroom) are always very tidy!

LOL, No I wasn't lying, I really did have pizza in my hand and on my mouth!! LOL, good for you for paying attention though!! Score big points! OKAY, Shepherds pie is IN THE OVEN!!! I found a recipe that added 'whipped' egg whites to the mash potatos. Well, let me tell you there is NOTHING masculine about a guy trying to whip egg whites into a foam by hand!! First of all it doesn't work and second of all I was totally out of breath and made a huge mess! I had to call my mom and ask her what to do. She said I needed a mixer, well I don't have a mixer...but I do have a drill!! Ah ha... can you tell what is about to happen?? Yes, I put a fork in the drill and whipped my eggs with it, untill the fork flew out and stuck in the wall!!!! ![]() There is egg/potato mixture all over my kitchen!! Whose idea was this cooking crap???

| ![]() Here are a few of my DH favorites that I often make. All are super easy to make, but not very healthy - but hey, they are all good, country comfort foods. Yum....almost dinner time! Meat Loaf 2-3 lbs of ground beef (turkey, deer, mixed, etc) 1 large onion, chopped & sautéed 1 stick celery, chopped & sautéed 1 qt. or 2 cans canned tomatoes, mashed 1 tsp. salt & ½ tsp. black pepper 2 eggs 2-3 slices of bread, crumbled Mix all together, but do not over mix. Put into an oiled baking dish. Cut through the top to prevent cracking. Brush top with ketchup. Bake in 375 oven until done. Drain off excess grease before serving. Note: You will have to drain excess oil during cooking time. **This is super moist & all the guys love it - if you use 1 lb turkey mixed with 1 lb. beef, it is even better because there is less grease to drain** Roast Beef Sprinkle both sides of roast with meat tenderizer. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper and garlic powder. Coat with seasoned flour. Brown on both sides in a big iron skillet. Put in oven and cook dry for about 2 hours. Add some water, onions, celery, carrots. Cover and cook until tender. I use a small roasting pan. OR Just place it all into a slowcocker (without browning in skillet), add a little water and cook on low all day. Ready when you get home and lots of good leftovers (roast beef sandwiches, etc). Chili 1 large onion, chopped 2 lb. ground meat (deer, beef, sausage, turkey or combination) ¾ TB salt & sprinkle of black pepper 1 pkg. chili seasoning 1 TB each Paprika & Crushed Red Pepper 2 cans stewed tomatoes, mashed (or 1 qt. canned tomatoes) 2 cans red kidney beans (or chili beans or a mix of both) 2 cans of water (give or take-depending on the thickness you like) Add meat and onion in skillet with oil. Brown. In pot, add remaining ingredients. Add meat mixture and bring to a boil. Turn on to low and let simmer for about 2 hours. **Our household favorite meat to add: sausage (or a mix of beef & sausage). We use fresh meat and it seems like the sausage is more spicy. - Which we like - LOVE spicy food. BTW we also had some chili powder too, not much since we do the packet of seasoning mix, but it gives it more flavor** You can easily add/delete ingredients from these recipes to suit your taste.

| ![]() I actually printed out a recipe book to give to several of our bachelor friends. (went through all of my family and my inlaws cookbooks). Now, I can't say they have ever used the books (unless their "that moment" girlfriends used it) because they are still always here looking for a home cooked meal - but, I like to cook and I stay at home.....so whats cooking for a few more hungry fellows anyway?! I do have more that I can post - will soon - enjoyed reading this thread - what a laugh! Hope your Shephards Pie turned out good - BTW - I hardly ever use my mixer - don't know why, but I always use a whisk, fork or spoon. Happy cooking and Happy eating!

| ![]() Just wondering how dinner was? And don't be putting egg whites in your potatoes, stick with the Hungry Jack. LOL I hope you didn't put the egg whites in them... tryin' to spruce them up, they don't get any better.

| ![]() Listen up, Steve. I've been making that Shepards Pie recipe for 30 years. Don't be trying to improve it, you can't! And if you want to whip something you'll need to invest in a whisk. How was dinner? Did you take a picture of your casserole? Did I misspell casserole? Oh well, hope you didn't die from your own cooking. Maybe you should just look up the number for Meals on Wheels!
