My pet peeves:

My husbands mother.... that's a thread in itself
Tailgaters
People who leave their blinker on
People who Cannot drive
People who are fake
Gossipers
Liars
Judgemental people
People leaving the toilet seat up.. My husband NEVER does
People who stop right in front of you, then when you say "excuse me" they get an additude, then I definitely give one back...

people who ask for advice and then get pissed when you tell them what they DON'T want to hear
IN-Laws
Gas prices
noisy eaters
nose pickers
ball scratchers (indescrete (sp) all out scratchers)
unheeded advice givers
my mother
rude employees at wherever you're going....
I think that's it... LOL
oh people who ask stupid questions like this: "Imagine a southern accent: Do ya'll have trees in Michigan? How about grass? What do ya'll eat in Michigan? We won the war, you damn yankees didn't"... ARGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGh
ok now i'm done! = )
oh no one take offense if you're from the South.. I'm speaking purely of the in-laws!!!

My biggest pet peeve is people talking on cell phones. I think our culture is so out of control about this, it's kind of sad. People cannot be with themselves alone for one minute, they have to be on the phone all the time.

I absolutely hate it when I go out with friends and we are eating at a restaurant and they answer their phones and have conversations. I argue all the time with a friend about this and she doesn't get it!!! I also hate it when people talk on the bus about stupid assinine crap. Where are you, did you have your coffee this morning??? blah, blah. I also hate when I take a plane and the minute the plane lands, 175 people take out their phones to call whoever and say Hey, I just landed. So what. Call them when you get to your destination.

I cannot stand it, I hate it so much. i wish people would just leave their phones in their pockets and use them only if they need to

I have a friend that has his glued to his ear 24/7. If there is any connection ever to it causing brain cancer he will be the first to go. They are wonderful for parents trying to keep track of their children etc. but so over used IMHO

Well just to defend people that always have their phones to their ear..which I dont really but some people have them as their telephone, as I do, I got rid of my house phone because of that sbc/at&t thing and so I use my phone quite a bit but I dont talk on it during dinner or anything like that. Im just saying that sometimes its a necessity. Also for the people saying they just landed..some might be calling to tell their ride to come...you know how planes can be late,....they might be calling to tell them or if its a kid or somebody that never flies there family may be worried about them so they call..I would want my loved one to call me...not dissing anybody just giving you the cell phone user perspective...you can take it like a grain of salt!

I hear you but I still think that it is all unecessary. If someone is picking you up from the airport, they are already there and it is displayed if a plane is late. I honestly believe that about 80% of cell phone use is just uneccesary. I think that we are in a culture that cannot stand to be alone or quiet for less than a minute and people just have to talk loudly on their cell phones to show other people that they have a lot of stuff going on, or whatever. Huge pet peeve for me!!!

People that come in my office (other employees) and always look at my screen,, if Im writing an email or anything,, or if I'm doing work ( for a change) and it has amounts or signing paycheks and they are trying to look at amounts and figures... GET OUT! I wanna scream, didn't your momma raise you right,, it is just rude.

Gerry, a week or so ago I saw on TV a story about how many people don't acutally have calls, but pretend to just to seem important.

I no longer have a landline and use my cells exclusively, yet I understand that there is a time and place for it. IMO A crowded airplane isn't one of them. Not only is it not allowed, I find it rude and annoying. Who wants to be subjected to some strangers business. In a matter of moments they will be in the terminal where I think it's more appropriate.

A quick discreet call is one thing. I'm talking about the loud, long calls that are so common. I just don't care to hear their life's drama.

Along with the pet peeves with cell phones, I can't stand that there are children in middle school (Please don't tell me if it goes younger than that!) that have cell phones! They spend the entire day with their friends and they HAVE to be accessible to them when not in school?! I don't mean anything against kids this age, but what is so pressing that they have to have access to a phone to talk to their friends at all times?! I think that is going way too far. I'm all for the prepaid phones with (very) limited minutes for older kids in high school (I had one to call my mom to call and ask her to pick me up after games, incase of an emergency, etc.), but other than that, I think it's just too much.

Okay... that got me thinking of another one! (Please allow me one snobby rant for the day!) What is with young girls carrying (or feeling the need to carry) designer bags?! I always thought of the designer names as something professional women carried- something I could aspire to be able to attain by working hard. Now, they can be seen all over the halls of high schools across America. I love purses, and although some could argue that spending hundreds (or thousands) of dollars on a single bag is crazy, I love purses. I just think it instils a materialistic desire in children way too early. Women can work hard to be able to afford the purse- children just expect (and get) their parents to shell out the cash for one. Now, there will be exceptions where parents use it as a reward for good grades or whatever, and while I still don't agree with high school or middle school girls needing to carry one, it at least instils a little work-ethic in kids.

oh I totally agree that some people are just really rude with them I just saying that im not and was defending the ones that actually use their phones for the purpose not the bragging rights to make them look important. I know theres a place for it and whens their not . Im assuming you dont have a cell phone? Dont let me become one of your pet peeves!
