| Question for Keurig owners I have 2 Keurig machines because my husband had one and I had one and we moved in together. His broke about 3 years ago and it was only 9 months old. I put it aside intending to call Keurig and never did. Well yesterday mine 'broke' so I called Customer Service. I read online and know people who have gotten the entire machine replaced at no cost. However, customer service would not do that for me. I had to pay $70 for a new machine and I have to pay to return the k-cup holder. I did it last night after we got 1 machine to work and the other was declared dead. I even mentioned to the woman on the phone that my dad got his 9 year old machine replaced for free just 2 months ago and our friends got their 7 year old machine replaced for free also. She told me she never heard of that and that I had to pay $70. So I ended up paying and now I feel like I should have questioned it more or asked to speak to a supervisor. I explained to the woman that the dead machine died 9 months after we bought it, and its been sitting in our storage room waiting for me to call. She didn't seem to care though. Actually she was not that pleasant at all. What should I do? Accept it and let it go? Should I try calling back?

| I know many companies have certain algorithms they must follow for phone calls...if customes says this, reply is this...many times, asking for a manager can open a new dialogue. I know for cellular service, threatening to change providers allows the phone rep to make different offers. You might try calling back and asking for a manager but since you already paid, it might not do much good. You might see about getting your 2nd malfunctioning machine replaced if they wont refund for the 1st one.

| It wouldnt hurt to call again and ask for a manager from the getgo. They might say yes, they might offer to let you pay less or they could just say no,buy it never hurts to ask. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I got the Cuisinart single serve coffee maker that uses Keurig's cups. Keurig came up with a brilliant idea, and I love the coffee, but they don't make a very good coffee maker. Cuisinart appliances are fairly well made, and it does come with a three year warranty. I've had it about 6 months and it's working fine, but I'll keep my fingers crossed, these machines are too expensive to replace every year! Don't forget to descale it and with the Cuisinart you have to replace the filters every month.

| I would call back and say something like I felt in light of so many others you know having their unit replaced, you feel under appreciated, discriminated against and that your Customer Service Representative really didn't seem that interested in your plight, or seem to value your family's business that much in spite of the fact that your family has bought TWO of their expensive machines for a total of $_____. Now you are wondering if you shouldn't request a refund of your $70.00 and go with another company's coffeemaker entirely - someone who values keeping discriminating customers satisfied over the long haul. I would tell her that for that money, a coffee maker should serve us longer than 9 mos. or 3 years even and you feel burned, treated unfairly by the company if they can take that much money from your family for two units but not stand behind their product any better than that with your family when they clearly do with others as in the 9 year old machine. And that in this economy, you want to do business with a company interested in helping its customers, yadayadayada. Go for it - what do you have to lose?

| haha. Prob. any woman can drum up a rant in a heartbeat. Well, look at it this way, you can still write them a letter and put your words down in writing and co-address it to all the important movers and shakers in the company. You might get something from them if they don't comp your $70.

| I've never heard of Kurig not replacing parts for free. They tend to stand behind their products 100%. I would call and speak to someone higher up and if that does not bring a resolution, I'd go to their Facebook and post what happened and tell everyone not to buy Kurig because they did not do the right thing...lol and they'll be in contact This works for most companies actually.

| One of mine died after 9 months... but it could have been hard water. My other one has been working for 7 years. It stopped working last week and I called Keurig. I used a paper clip and cleaned out the needle (there are 3 holes in it) and it worked again! Guess it was just clogged up. Try cleaning out the needle, stick a paper clip into the 3 holes in it and kind of swish it around and see if it works after that.

| I got mine at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. I didn't buy a warranty with mine because they said they would replace it with the receipt at anytime if something happened. I've had it for 3 years and still works. I even use tap water which is suppose to be a no no. BTW... my receipt you can't even read. I've heard of a few people getting new ones for free.
