My brother (bestest friend not actually biologically related) just messaged me over FB.

Nephew is safe, thankfully, but our hearts are still broken for those who did not make it out unharmed and unaffected by this tragedy.

Ok I am hearing Ryan Lanza was the shooter, shot and killed Mom ....27 ppl confirmed dead...one being his brother at a secondary crime scene. 6 teachers confirmed dead 20 children and an adult at a secondary crime scene. This is just sooooo freaking sad...what is this world coming too??? Apparently the shooter is dead as well...so 28 total

NBC reporting it could be Adam his brother.

Law enforcement telling NBC the shooter could have been carrying wrong ID and that's reason for the confusion.

I've heard/read that Adam is the shooter/younger brother and that Ryan is being held for questioning. She shooter then killed himself.

I am not sure about facts here, but from what Ive been reading online on abc.com and nbc.com is 27 were killed. One was his mother, and 18 were children. A body, thought to be of a parent of his, was found dead in their home. (his father maybe?) He is 24 years old and the Twitter and FB pages are not his. They have been taken down to protect the innocent.
His brother is being held on suspicion of being the other shooter, and his girlfriend and another friend of his are both missing. Hhhhmmm

Me too.

His parents are divorced now and his mom moved at then of last year to take the kids out of the schools in Bridgeport to get away from the violence there.

It's especially unsettling this can happen anywhere.

Watching CNN live...20 children killed, 6 teachers, one being the shooters mother who is a teacher at the school...father lives eleswhere, shooter is dead as well as another person found at another location...person being questioned by police, not neccessarily a suspect 28 total.
