I cannot imagine what these parents are going through. My prayers are with everyone. So sad!

so far 27 ppl dead, 18 are children mainly from kindergarten.

Was watching Christmas movies with Tibbe in my lap & turned to the news, saw this story. Can hardly believe this. My heart and prayers go out to the families and friends of those so senselessly killed and injured today. Those poor little children! This kind of horror is devastating for any age but for children, our kids, to have to go through this is unthinkable.

I also feel so bad also for the first responders who have to deal with the crime scene. From what I have heard, tragedy involving children is so hard on them, too, and is no longer a job but becomes truly personal. A crime such as this is so shocking and painful for all involved. A terrible tragedy for that community and our country.

And no telling how many injured. Things like this just make you want to take your loved ones and hideaway at home, away from the evil in the world. It's only by faith in God's grace that I can even leave the house in this day and age.

This is so awful! Too many of these killings are happening these days! We MUST get stronger gun control! I know that will make some people mad....but something has got to be done!
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families that have been affected!

I have been following this story all morning - how tragic. My thoughts and prayers are out to those who lost loved ones and to those that have been traumatized by this horrific event. It just makes you wonder what kind of person would do something like this - what causes someone to go off the deep end and harm innocent people?

This is so terrible I can not imagine who would do this because not only are children dead but all the children involved are going to have problems for probably the rest of there lives. I just want to cry for those poor babies and there family's.

This story breaks my heart.. I cannot even begin to think of what the families are going through and the responders. But with all that being said gun laws are strict to legally get one you have to go through background checks. If somebody wants to get a gun they can easily get it illegally off the streets just like drugs and if we can't stop that how do you expect them to stop illegal guns? My question is how did this person just walk into a school?? Shouldn't he have to go past a checkpoint or something?

I was just reading that he shot her first then went to their child's school.
