YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() I heartedly agree with all. Also didn't you mention he was very skinny and dirty? I know that IG's are a slim breed of dog, but did you weigh him to see the difference in his weight now versus when you adopted him out? To me this signifies a) either the owners did not feed him enough or b) he had to have been out for at least 24-48 hours. also if you haven't already do a through exam of him. Ears/eyes/mouth,genitals, belly, paw pads et al. I hope he was up to date on his shots; cause I wouldn't trust that blankety blank blank owner to have seen to that. Christ you have to ask about heartworm meds - do you think he has been on them since your ownership? You might need a heartworm test. Sigh So sorry this happened to you, but so glad you found him safe n sound.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I could add a whole lot more to this, but if I did I would be banned from the list. LOL Yes this lady should be on a DNA List (Do Not Adopt) and sent to as many rescue groups as possible.

| ![]() Nope - contacted animal control so they could back me up if this ever does turn ugly and they try to take me to court over it, they said to wait 72 hrs and if no contact was made even without my contract they forfiet any rights to the dog. So I gave it 72 hrs as they advised and no contact was ever made with me or animal control. So my volunteer that picked him up and was holding him for me requested to become his new mommy - and I gladly granted her request. He will now be going to Doggy Scout Camp, sharing his life with another rescue IG and their papilion "brother", spending his days in daycare, her dogs have it good! He couldn't have gotten a better forever home - and so quickly!

| ![]() Honestly - me to! I wouldn't have given him back regardless - but doing things this way made it easier on me because even without my adoption contract they gave up their ownership rights by not looking for him! I'm very disappointed and angry at the way they treated him, but glad that he did run away - when I followed up and had his foster mom go over they put on a good show - but the truth is obvious. If they cared - they would have made SOME attempt to find him!
