We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with family. We went out to eat and tried a new Italian restaurant that serves family style and we ended up loving it. Then we opened gifts and visited. On Christmas day our daughter and our son will open gifts after we listen to a church service about the birth of Jesus. Me and Jesse got a fireplace heater for our christmas and it has been wonderful having the warm feel to the house you get from a fireplace. We are very happy how well it has turned out we didnt know because there is usually turmoil with the MIL but there wasnt this yr and she gave us some very thoughtful gifts. We gave her an Iphone so she was happy also. Merry Christmas everyone! |

So glad your Chistmas Eve went well. We had a lovely visit with a close friend, and my cousin surprised us by calling and taking Judy to a special Midnight Service at Roy Thompson Hall. Have a great Christmas Day Chachi |
Well Le bonne homme is in the oven. Vege's prepped, goodies out, and dogs walked. Just Razz to groom, and then me too...lol Our home looks wonderful with all the Yorkie Talk cards, table set, tree dressed, and presents all waiting to be unwrapped. I wish all the very best of days; with peace, light and love. Good company, fine laughter, and many blessings are wished to you all. Thank you to every member here, for making this a true community. We may not always agree with each other, but we do share a common passion and love of our chosen breed. Love to all |
:xmastree1:Since I've got the lingering complication with:santa: the hip replacement, don't feel like getting out the big tree to decorate this year:snowman4: so I just bought a smaller fiber-optic :candyc1:ornament tree on Amazon. Had a smaller one like it for the bedroom tree years ago and it was pretty, amazingly brilliant in its :gbhouse:colors and the amount of light emitted. So many:snowman2: fiber optics are kind of dim. Hope this one is as bright as the older one. It was shipped today. Kind of getting excited.:xmascand: |

Started doing some shopping this past week...... pj's for the Gkids.... a few clothing items for Daughters and SIL's..... hopefully i will get a few more things done this weekend. I would like to be done with the majority of it by Thanksgiving...... It is much more fun to enjoy the season without all that last minute rushing around (happened to me last year & I didn't like it). Planning on starting to decorate after Halloween........ takes a few weeks so it will be nice to take it my time! |

My best friend and I are all excited and ready for Black Friday, it's our special girls outing not that we really care to buy stuff lol but since I drive a completely ridiculous large truck that is more like a semi and I am considered handicap it is rather fun to fight for parking spots and watch people give up because I am bigger. |

The fiber-optic Christmas Tree came in a very big box on Halloween. Can't wait to check it out to be sure it works. Then, the hard part is going to be waiting to decorate. I saw on the Hallmark Channel they plan to start showing Christmas and Holiday movies weekend after next!!! So only this weekend to go before Christmas movies begin to appear on our TV guides and screens! It IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas Holidays are coming! |
Just went to the Dollar Tree and bought some red foil garland - shiny and pretty and full. Got a few of them. Got a little red cardboard cupcake stand to put together, fill with cupcakes and cookies, cover in clear plastic, add a Christmas bow and deliver to my neighbor's 3 kids on Christmas Eve! I couldn't find anything Yorkie at our Dollar Tree! |
I bought Waffles her Christmas dress. Now im looking for pj nightys hard to find in her size. shes 13 " long so either small or medium. |
I WAS LISTENING TO CHRISTMAS MUSIC IN MY CAR YESTERDAY AND TODAY. November 1st hits... and it's on! I am so excited! |

:santahat:Walgreens had some Yorkshire :yorkieboy:Terrier Christmas Ornaments today. They have several :reindeer2:dog breed ornaments but I thought the Yorkie and the Chi's were the cutest. Garden Ridge has 27" inch or taller full Snoopy and Charlie Brown Christmas cloth decorative figures today with internal metal skeletons and padding over over the skeleton to hold them erect. The Snoopy was so cute - very broad headpiece and just nice looking. They are very well done and not plushy, stuffed animal looking but professional looking decorations for standing beside the tree. They have Mickey and Minnie as well. |

Been doing a little Christmas "Windows" shopping online tonight. |
:snowman4::xmastree1::candyc1::xmascand::gbhouse: Was watching one of the shopping channels do a whole hour on Bethlehem Lights and so getting into the Christmas mood last night! Made me want to make cocoa, throw in mini marshmallows and cuddle up with Tibbe by the Christmas tree lights only and listen to carols. They had some beautiful things on that show!!! They now have a glisten mode for some of their lighting - and the way those lights power on and off so gradually and in a random fashion reminds you of fireflies in the summer. I have to have a decoration or garland that glistens!!! |
1 Attachment(s) Look a this 6-piece Lit Mercury Glass Ornaments with Timer by Valerie? They look like jewels when turned on. They change colors, red, blue, green, yellow, etc., and work on 3 tiny 7 cent batteries and use a timer. They say the Mercury Glass with the sun coming through them are beautiful hanging in a sunny window. Or on the tree or around the base of the tree or hung from a chandelier. On TV in the darkened showroom, they were just beautiful. Imagine a tree full of these?!?!?!:xmastree1::xmascand::xmastree1: |
Whatever you all do, STAY OFF QVC when they do the Christmas decorating shows! I've never watched them before this yea. So far, I haven't bought anything yet but I've mentally spent over $500.00 in decorations and it's not Thanksgiving yet!!! |
Bought 2 more boxes of chocolate-covered cherries today for one of the candy dishes. |
After spending 8 hours at work the other day looking for Guinness's perfect outfit for Christmas pictures I have now moved on to getting more Christmas decor lol |
