They can talk, but why do it only if the price is right? Why not do it yesterday at the UNPAID courthouse press conference? Doing it this way proves they are as evil as Casey.

Ok, that was interesting. I think some of it was just longing for the things we take for granted in our freedom. She won't be able to adopt with convictions on her record. It was reported that no further actions can be taken against Casey with regards to Caylee or her death. Thus, any other subsequent charge or allegation is worthless. It is done.

I am as upset as many others however, I cannot let Casey take any more of my thought or time. Caylee however, will forever remain in my heart.

I read those letters. They are very self serving. Casey wrote them to a fellow inmate and KNEW they were being read by the police. She wrote all kinds of stuff about her family, and about how she wanted to donate to charities, etc.

Do I think she'll have more kids? Yep. That is another thing the jury has to live with...knowing they sentenced another innocent child to having Casey as a mom. Way to go.

I do think it is terrible that a jury is going to profit by this and I think it should be against the law because it can tant justice.

Barbara Walters interviewed Jose Baez on ABC evening news. Also spoke with some of the jurors. Baez said they will need to hire bodyguards for Casey because he is afraid for her safety.

That's what I heard testified to during the trial.

Cases, including death penalty cases, have been won with only circumstantial evidence (think Scott Peterson).

There is no requirement that the prosecution prove motive, though I believe they did. There is no requirement that the prosecution prove method of death, again, I believe they did.

That instruction was given also.
Several of the jurors were reported to have left their notebooks on their seats, so they didn't even bother to refer to them during deliberations. The alt juror who spoke yesterday alluded to them discussing the case in the evenings away from the courtroom; a big no no.

I'm sorry, but I think the jury failed miserably on this one.

I don't think they paid attention to the different charges that were brought, the definitions of each charge, etc. I don't know how you could not find her at least guilty of manslaughter - unintentional death of child while in her custody/care due to negligent act.

I think this jury was only in this for the media $. I agree with the poster who said she is not supporting anything that financially benefits these ppl from poor little Caylee's death.

I wonder how much ABC News will be paying for Anthony-related stories to come over the next year? Since they financed some of her defense, I guess they will be financing her new life until other things come along. I think there should have to be full disclosure in how much these news orgs pay their interviewees. News orgs are also probing into everybody else - who is looking at their dirty laundry and how they get stories and who profits off them - even murderers and those that help them?

"How? By confusing reasonable doubt with a reason to doubt. Some believe that thinking was in play in the Simpson case. After the verdict was read in the Simpson case, as the jury was leaving, one of them, I was later told, said: “We think he probably did it. We just didn’t think they proved it beyond a reasonable doubt.” In every case, a defense attorney will do his or her best to give the jury a reason to doubt. "Some other dude did it," or "some other dude threatened him." But those reasons don’t necessarily equate with a reasonable doubt. A reason does not equal reasonable. Sometimes, that distinction can get lost."
