Seems Baez has a problem with some rebuttal evidence from the prosecution.

He's pissed because they checked the work/computer records of Cindy, he says they'd had plenty of time to do that before the trial, but it was only at the trial did they know that Cindy would say the time clock type of work records aren't always accurate and Baez said they should have know someone who's salaried doesn't have to be there all the time. I honestly think Baez badgered Cindy into testifying this way. I would love to know what went on between him and the parents.

I bet the jurors already knew Cindy was lying without the prosecution proving it. On HLN they said that Cindy is known to be very controlling. They keep saying the family is very dysfunctional but who wouldnt lie if their child were facing the death penalty. Im sure they know she killed Caylee but they still dont want her put to death

I think the only person I feel sorry for in this family is George Anthony. I don't know how I feel about Cindy?

I truly believe most mothers try to do the best with their kids, I don't see Cindy as any worse than most mothers. When I was in school, there was quite a bit of evidence to suggest psychopaths were missing a physical part of the brain that we call a conscience. (I don’t know what the research says now.) They don’t' have lots of psychopath’s brains to dissect, but those people who had been serial murders and felt no guilt were part of the studies. My professor was convinced that these people would have turned out this way, no matter who raised them; wouldn’t we all behave differently if we never felt guilty? Anyway, my point is Cindy doesn’t seem that different than most mothers and I don’t believe they raised Casey to be a self-serving liar, I think she was born that way.

The night Cindy called 911 to report Casey stealing a car and money shows that she was willing to be tough on Casey, how many people call the police on their kids? Everyone says they would have made Casey tell them the truth, how do you do that? So yes, I feel so sorry for Cindy, she’s probably saying to herself all the time, if I had done this or hadn’t have done that, things would have been different. I’m sure George and Cindy have even blamed each other at times, “If you hadn’t been so tough, and if you hadn’t been so lenient.” If you have ever seen Casey talking to people, she can be so charming, articulate, and engaging, and if we didn’t know she was a pathological liar who’s willing to throw anyone under a bus to save herself, we would think her parents have done a wonderful job.

I always felt bad for Cindy, until I heard/read what she did on the witness stand. I do agree that psychopaths are born and not made. Not to the same degree, but how else can you explain siblings having such divergent personalities even if they are raised similarly? Either way, you are right in thinking about how much Cindy is probably blaming herself...I wonder if her testimony was a reflection of her feeling guilty that it might be her fault that Casey is where she is today?

I lost respect the day she got on the stand and told those stories about the chloroform searches. I believe there is a line you simply do not cross. Call me hard, I suppose so. I just know that no matter how much guilt I might have it would not make me do that. It spoke volumes to me about Cindy.

It not like I have any respect for the family except as human beings, so I can’t lose any; I just don’t know them that well, however, I believe they’re doing better than I would under the circumstances. I’m not sure you can say, what you would do, if you were in someone else’s shoes. If Baez is battering you and saying, “Do you want your daughter to die; she’s going to be put to death if you don’t admit that it’s possible you did those searches.” All Cindy did was admit it was possible, so they really can’t get her for perjury. I think when they initially contacted her and asked her the questions, she may have lied because she really did believe Casey to be innocent, and a big hurdle for her to overcome was the fact that the police weren’t interested in looking for anyone else. This was extremely frustrating for her, and I think they were doing everything possible to try to convince the police they needed to concentrate on finding the kidnappers so that they could save Caylee. Cindy just had not had enough time to process that Casey could be a cold blooded killer.

I’m certainly NOT saying it’s ever right to lie under oath, I’m just saying I can understand it when you are trying to protect your child, but then I think the jurors will understand that too, and not take too seriously what Cindy says.

I agree but also we are a society of liars. Presidents lie under oath, politicians lie, people lie to save face everyday. So do I think any less of someone who does it under oath when its the state of our society no

Guys, I just CANNOT wrap my brain around the possibility that this could have been premeditated! I just can't....and I am starting to cry at the thought of it. I have told myself that this was a horrible accident that was at the hands of Casey. But I'm tellin' ya....I am having a hard time listening to the fact that she looked up other things like: neck breaking, household weapons, how to rupture a spleen. I was albe to dismiss these things in my mind until I saw them with my own eyes. The people discussing the case during the breaks showed the actual searches on the tv screen.

I will never be able to metally grasp that she may have done this on purpose.

OMG....the expert just said that there was an actual Google search for, "neck breaking", not a popup like Cindy had previously stated. There were no searches for bamboo or chlorophyll like Cindy said.

I was starting to believe that Casey would not get the death penalty, but I'm not so sure any longer.

She wont get the death penalty shes young and pretty and the jurors just wont give it to her. I would be really amazed if they did and I do think she deserves it but it just wont happen

We each have our own thoughts on this. What I can say is that that I would not be on the stand lying for my son. We have no proof that Baez badgered her into saying it.....although I have a feeling that accusation will come if Casey is found guilty.
The entire trial has been a circus ...well, what part I have seen of it. I really have not followed it all that closely because it totally nauseates me; and because I have felt she was guilty from day one. I certainly would never have been a juror. I am totally unable to look at her as innocent until proven guilty. I hate saying that but it is how I feel.

I agree, Cindy made a mistake the other day, by saying it was possible the work records were incorrect, that allowed the state to do a much more through check, without first presenting it to defense. So much more is coming out now than what originally came out, and it’s looking like premeditated murder to me now.
