| ![]() I started a lo carb diet 8 days ago and have already lost 6 pounds. The trick is to lose the weight...ad the carbs back in slowly...and find the number (or amount) of carbs per day that helps you maintain the weight you want to stay at. Along with that I will start walking on my treadmill everyday when I am done working at the coffee shop this week...right now I get plenty of walking at the shop but the kids will start helping when school stops so I'll have to start using the treadmill. I swore I would never hit a double digit pants size again but I did over the last 2 years with a bad case of food poisoning where I lost a lot of weight and then had to just about eat everything in sight to gain anything back, my 3 surgeries...the stress of the loss of my Dad and a few months later my Mother being diagnosed with a high stage 3 breast cancer...and our son's motorcycle accident a year ago on Good Friday. I don't eat much but believe me...stress can ad the pounds. I have a few more pounds to go and I'll be back in my 'favorite' jeans...and not in my 'comfortable' jeans. ![]() |

| ![]() I've lost 18 pounds in the last 3 months by using the Iphone App "Lose it". It's great because it's not a diet just tracks what you are eating and your activities. You plug in how much you want to lose a week and it tells you how many calories you can eat per day to lose it. Once you are down to your goal weight it will tell you how many calories you need to maintain. I've got 8 pounds to go. |

| ![]() Oh yeah...diet advice. Sorry - got off track for a moment. Find a food program that works for you. Weight Watchers is my program of choice. It does work (like many others) if you stick to it. Also, a good excercise plan. I find that the excercise is important...but the food portions control is what really helps you lose. Best wishes!
