I like Scotty, Lauren and James. Stephano has a great voice but to me all his songs sound the same. Wouldnt buy his records. Cant stand Haley. We shall see tonight!

Seems James is the common denominator!! I just hope we don't see another fiasco like last week with someone really good going home.

I agree. My husband said the same thing. The backround singers are too loud. This is a singing competition and they should shine. He was overpowered by them. They should save that stuff for the tour.
I thought Stefano did a wonderful job with that boyz to men song. I really enjoyed listening to him. I hope he is safe. I also thought Lauren did a great job with the Miley Cirus song. She is so cute and humble. I hope she wins. She seems pure.

I have gotten into the habit of fast forwarding through
Jacob and James.

After 27 years of marriage to a blues/jazz drummer I know when I hear good jazz. Casey did an excellent job last night. Having said that, I admit that I really don't like jazz so I didn't enjoy his performance until the very end. I fear that the majority of AI fans, like the most beautiful woman in the word said, won't get it and therefore won't vote for him.

Scotty did a poor job and I am still very OVER Haley with her growling. There is a place in music for Paul but is he the best? - I don't think so.

That leaves me with Lauren and Stephano as my favorites for the night.
Which one of those will go home?

I would hate to be a judge this season because each performer has talent and I'm sure their favorites (like Pia) going home just kills them. Did you see Jennifer Lopez crying and telling Pia there was nothing they could do about it? As much as I love Casey they probably did use the save too early and should not have used it on him. Sigh.

Oh yea, and I'm glad Jimmy Iovine gave Jacob Lusk the business about his statements before he sang man in the mirror that if he’s in the bottom three this week “it won’t be because I picked the song bad, it won’t be because I sang the song wrong. It will be because everyone in America wasn’t ready to look at themselves in the mirror” I was like WHT!? Maybe he didn't realize how that sounded out loud. lol

Am I the only one that likes Haley? LOL. I just can't get in to Scotty as much as I love country music. I did like Lauren's take on Miley Cyrus's song last night. I give Casey and James credit for sticking to who they are and taking the chances. I liked their choices.

I like Haley alot she just can't figure out what genre she is. She has an amazing and unquie voice. She really needs to focus more on hitting her notes and her voice instead of her moves and and where she's going to go on stage. Once she figures out what genre she wants and can hit the right notes then she can work on stage presence. She has the package she just needs to focus on technicality in her music.
Scotty I like but he's no George Strait and I have to close my eyes to hear him sing as I can NOT stand the way he holds his mic or his stupid arrogant facial expressions and I LOVE country music! My faves are still Lauren and James. I don't care for Jazz so Casey is out for me. Paul just needs to go home. Jacob is too dramatic and over the top for me and I do like Stefano as he improved this week in my opinon! Pia was techinally good and vocally amazing but just too boring for me! Glad she's gone!

I haven't watched this week's episode yet so I can't comment yet.

But going back to last week, Ryan Seacrest said on his show that most of the viewers and voters are women and that's probably why Pia went home. Young girls don't like voting for pretty girls and would rather vote for guys anyway. He has a point since there are only 2 girls left...

As for Pia being "boring", this is a singing competition, not a sing/dance/run around the stage competition. She was by-far the best singer and it's sad she left.

Yes, I agree, Pia was the best and my favorite.

They need to stop letting people vote up to 50 times each. Thay need to let only one vote per phone #. Too many teen age girls voting (50 times each) for "cute" boys instead of the best singer.

We haven't see the last of Pia.

It's a singing competition, that's true. But I would not want to go to a concert to see someone just stand there and sing - there is so much more to it than that. I thought Pia was an excellent singer but I wouldn't want to go to her concert. I also agree with Donna that Scotty is best when your eyes are closed.

J-Lo doesn't just sing at her shows, she dances and entertains and most people want someone who is good and puts on a great show. I have always liked anyone who is a little bit different. For example, I really like that little lisp Buble has. I like Casey because he's different and really talented. Is his voice perfect? No, but neither are a lot of the entertainers I like and I think that might be why I like them. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

I think the voters finally got it right last night. Paul seems like a nice guy and I really liked him in the beginning but I am glad he got voted off.

I agree

Paul has a very unique voice and I think he will be fine, but I just think there are more powerful voices here this year. He does seem like a very likeable guy. I heard that he was having problems with his voice so now he can rest and heal.

Paul was fun to watch with his crazy jerky dancing style...nerves maybe?
I liked him but I bet he's got a recording contract too, or will have one soon enough. He's definitely different.
