I love his character, and style. Unfortunately, I'm sure he wasn't "it" for mainstream media. He was my other favorite besides Pia. Another person that wasn't "it" for mainstream media. Glad I didn't watch it.

In defense of Scotty, I think he is adorable. He actually reminds me of my grandson, Scott, who is 19. I think Scotty is only 17 so I think with age he will just get more handsome. I bet if he had longer hair and some facial hair he would look totally different. I love Scotty's smirky smile. As far as vocals go I don't think Scotty is the best vocalist but AI is more of a popularity contest so you never know who will win.

I think Casey is a truly talented guy, but I see him with a band, not solo.

How is it I've just now noticed this thread?!? LOL I've watched every single season. I didn't read through everybody posts, so not sure what concensus we have going here

I really like Scotty (I Like country though) but that smirk thing he does drives me a little nuts
I like Lauren alot
Miss Pia she's sooo talented, but I guess not AI material?
I was a little sad to see Paul go, mainly because of his personality, I couldn't help but smile when he performed
Jacob belongs on broadway, not top 40

I like Casey, but I'm not into his style of music
Stefano is super talented, but he just needs to lighten up or something
Haley, oh Haley lol, I really like her and her vocals can be amazing but the growling is a little overkilled. I can see once or twice in a song but it's like every other note
This is IMO the best season as far as talent that was in the top 12 since season 3 I can't even pick a favorite at this point but my prediction is that it's going to come down to Lauren and James at the final.

They need to stop letting people vote up to 50 times each. Thay need to let only one vote per phone #. Too many teen age girls voting (50 times each) for "cute" boys instead of the best singer.

Exactly, I've been saying that for years about the voting! I don't even think there's a limit at all as long as it's in that 2 hour time frame. I can always just picture all the little teenage girls with their cell phones texting like crazy while my poor 2 or 3 votes for the one who actually sang the best is no match for that America's Got Talent has voting restrictions, why can't idol do the same thing to make it more fare?

I was reading about the comments regarding Lauren's last performance "The Climb." Almost all of them were congratulating her because she sang it "better than the original." I'm sorry, but *I* can sing better than Miley Cyrus. That's not saying much. I wonder if Lauren picked that song strategically? If she did, very smart of her.

I still think she does pretty well for her age (Lauren)

Hahaha, ya I agree, Miley Cyrus is terrible, did you see (I think it was last season)where they had her on as their mentor. That is a great song though, good choice for Lauren

No, I never saw American Idol before this season...so I'm pretty disappointed with AI in general since my favorites were all voted off.

I never liked Miley Cyrus, even before her, let's just say, exhibitionist stage. I used to love watching the Disney Channel (yes, was still watching it at 18 years old lol) and I would change the channel whenever her show came on. She just always rubbed me the wrong way. I prophetized to all of my friends that she would become the next Britney Spears and they all scoffed at me. And here we are, a couple of years later, plagued in scandal, and the most important thing is that I was right

Is everyone ready for Idol tonight? I know I have. I have enjoyed replaying last weeks show throughout this week. Who do you think will go home next? I guess it will depend on how they do tonight but personally I am ready for Haley to go home or perhaps Casey.

I LOVE HALEY! I think she gives a new and fresh sound that no one else can ever copy and i'm ready to buy her albums right away. Not that crazy about Lauren. Just don't think she's for real enough for country. she seems too Cityish and fake to me. Scotty is good but not cute enough to make it. I don't mind Casey i think he's got the most musical talents because he can actually play an instrument. Ready for Jacob to go..he's good but watching him is hard to do with his facial expressions and such. i think Pia should still be in this honestly. she was beautiful both physically and vocally.

Same as before, My favorites are still James, Casey, and Lauren. i'd like to see either Jacob, Stefano, or Scotty go.

It is getting harder to decided. Tonight I think James was the only one that was outstanding in his performance, even though that is not my kind of music. I still love Scotty even though I know it was not one of his best performances tonight. I love listening to Jacob sing, I am not ready for him to leave. I think I am ready for Casey to go or Haley, even though I thought Haley did better tonight. I did not care for Lauren's song that much either, it was just okay.

I was a big Casey fan in the beginning, but I haven't liked him in weeks and weeks. I don't like James' style of music, but he's the best one left as a performer. He's no Adam Lambert, but I find myself looking forward to his performance the same way I looked forward to Adam's. He surprises and shocks me regularly. Tonight, James and Haley were the only ones who stood out. I love country, and Scottie's voice is amazing, but he's starting to feel like a cliche.

Oh, oh, oh ... I was a big fan of the new judges at first, but I'm sick of all the praise. I miss Simon.
