| ![]() They've been thinking it was a bad allergic reaction all along, but this time they said its definately not an allergy. I drilled the nurse and his labs are still off. He had an echocardiogram today and it showed a perfectly normal heart so they said its the heart's electrical system out of whack. I want an answer. They're looking into autoimmune diseases and the thyroid too, but so far the tests arent showing anything. He has high white cell counts and are saying he has an infection somewhere but they cant find one anywhere. He's been having swollen joints with the rashes, along with stomach problems. I think the steroids they give him are masking something. Everyone is scratching their foreheads and seem to be clueless. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() I am so sorry about your son. My husband had an infection around his heart a few years ago and it was difficult to diagnose. I hope they can figure it out.

| ![]() Thank you for your support and prayers. I feel like I cant talk about it with anyone in the family so I keep bottling it up and not letting anyone see me sweat. I dont want my family to re-live the grief of losing my child. It was so hard and it hurt me to see them cry. I'm not the type of person to go blurt out so much personal stuff on a forum like this, but I have to have some outlet that I can talk about it and not feel like I'm hurting someone I love in the process. I fell apart when I came home from the hospital tonight. I had to hide it from the kids cuz I dont want them to worry about their daddy. I locked myself in the bedroom. I feel so helpless. I want to go to the cemetary and pray at my sons grave side and maybe I can put some of the old buried grief back to rest and try to deal with my husband as a seperate entity, but its an hour and 1/2 drive away and I cant leave town with my husband so sick and have kids and my yorkies. |

| ![]() I'm so sorry you have no one to share this with. I know that makes it harder for you and you are right that you don't want to upset your family. I'm still saying prayers for your husband that he will soon be diagnosed and be well, so he can be home with you again.

| ![]() I will say a prayer for you and your husband! I know this must be frightening. My son had a heart attack at 24. He was (still is) in the Navy, fit and in good health. They never found a cause but he had been sick (sort of flu like) for a few weeks before. About a month later, I read an article telling about young men being hit with heart attacks/problems being caused by a virus. I am pretty sure that was the case for him. Sounds very similar to what your husband experienced. Praying your husband comes out of this just as healthy and unaffected as my son did. He has never had another problem and that was 10 years ago.

| ![]() My thoughts and prayers are with you! I hope the Dr.s can come up with the answers as to what is making your hubby so sick. This is only my uneducated, gut feeling, but have they checked the possibility of Lupus? I know several people who suffer from this and at least one has had heart problems with it. ![]() |
