Did you have to assemble it yourself? Could it be an assembly issue??

| Ok, I called the number on the vacuum and they had me take the bottom plate off and take out a tiny sponge type thing that runs around the entire length of the inside plate. Now it works like a charm. I can't believe the suction this thing has.......YALZA!!! Just hope none of my babies are mistaken for dust bunnies by that monster. I love that I can sit the vacuum at the bottom of the stairs and can actually go to the top of the stairs and vacumm all the way back down. That is one LOOOONG hose. It has great attachments that I haven't seen on other vacuums. So far so good!!!

LOL - Who knew? The suction is great! I do have to periodically cut would string/hair from the beater bar - but I have always done this with my vacuums! I KNEW you would love it

| Also what I LOVE about this thing is you can easily take off the beater brush to clean it off. Everything is so handy. You know the crevas tool most vacuums have.........well this one is combined with the little brush. All you do is slide the brush down. Now instead of two separate tools to have to change out, you just use one, then slide the other down if you need it. I've been having such a good time this morning with this vacuum. I'm off to Macy's now to get a Haan steam mop.

| Gotta put in my 2 cents, lol. I have the Dyson DC14 Animal (purple) and I absolutely love it. I have most hardwood expect 2 of my bedrooms and it is great. I'm truely disgusted with the crap I get out of my carpet that apparently my Eureka didn't get at all. I've had mine for about 4 yrs and it's still going strong.

| Hello I am on my 2nd Dyson in 12 years, and i would not be without it. It is amazing to me still what stuff you get out of your carpets. I would recommend tham to everyone. I do my mattresses too - unbelievable what we sleep on/with -!!!!!!!!!!! I also think they definitely prolong the life and cleanliness of your carpets. I have cream carpets and they still look as good as when i had them fitted over 12 months ago.

| Fed-x now says the vacuum won't be delivered until Thursday. I'm trying to tell myself it's ok, I can manage to make it one more day without this vacuum. But, I'm ready to play!!
