| Thank you YT!! :-) Okay! I loved the thread that was going the other day called "nominate the nicest YT member" so much that I decided to start a new one! If you have something specific you would like to thank someone from YT for write it in a comment below! There is nothing better than singling out someone for something that has changed your life for the better and gives us all the opportunity to read it and be blessed right along with you! It can be something big or something little so don't be shy! Tell us why you are thankful for another member or multiple ones! So I will start: First I want to say thank you to MIYorkielover who has become a "big sis" and mentor to me on YT! I never knew it was possible to feel close to someone you have never met in person! She always has a positive word for me and is always there to support me when I have a question! Also want to thank brendah for being a great friend and example of what living a positive life looks like! Here is someone who has 3 teenagers, lost her first husband to cancer and has just gone through major surgery with her second DH! She always has something nice to say and is constantly beating me to the punch of welcoming new members! She challenges me to do life well...if she can anyone can! Thanks to dadoftrudy for being another cheerleading fanatic on YT! Also, thank you to YT in general for the wealth of great info even when it can be hard to hear...people like rbelland, Jackson25, redvett and so many other members who love the breed and teach us how to be better yorkie lovers and to get our heads out of the sand! I am grateful to be here and to have met some of the coolest people ever!! Can't wait to get to know more of you better! You guys rock! |

| You're welcome! lol Glad you stayed, even though we don't talk much, I knew you'd like it here once you got to know it. You see the passion that people have and can understand sometimes why it can get heated or harsh, we all love the dog, its all about the dog and breed, nothing more and nothing personal.

| I am glad to see that you stayed! You are a fine addition to YT. .....and Ellie May is right, the admins must be special people as I know I certainly could not do their job, not for one second; as there would be threads closing left and right, banning on a monumental scale, and general chaos abounding.. |

I'm also glad you stuck around - once people get 'into' the site a little they can see how many really good people are here....It's about the dogs first but also a great way to connect | |

| It is a great way to connect and I have met some really great people but I have to say it's just as drama filled as it was that first day!! I'm just learning who the drama/negative people are, that they really rarely have anything nice to say, some of them speak the loudest and the most often but they are definitely in the minority! (no one who has commented on this thread btw!) isn't it interesting that you can count on seeing them always like clock work when their is "a situation or someone's neck to jump down" but they don't come on threads like this EVER!! It seems like admin is cracking down which is good! On the otherhand I have also learned who has a wealth of good information and those people stay positive 90% of the time but when it's necessary go after the right battles and I respect that so much! I am enjoying being here, learning as much as I can and just trying to be the best member I can be!! Thanks for commenting on this pretty dead thread! LOL. |

I know you have a rough first day but I just don't see the need anymore to make these kind of comments.

| My "attitude" is not at all negative towards YT and if you CLEARLY read what I wrote instead of jumping down my neck you will see that I said I have the utmost respect for the members who have a wealth of knowledge, stay positive and when necessary choose to get into situations. It's interesting that I say half a negative sentence in the almost 270 posts I've done since being here in the last 2 weeks and all of a sudden I'm negative about YT! Seriously go yell at someone who really is negative and doing nothing to make YT a better place and just causing drama! Go check my record with a microscope because it speaks for itself! I have gone out of my way to be encouraging and positive and haven't criticized anyone personally! Why are you taking offense to a simple non confrontational observation? I've spent enough time on this site to know who is who, what they are about and what's what. It's a great site but there are clear drama starters and contributers and I am not one of them and have and will continue to amply prove that! but I also will defend myself and anyone else who is unfairly being attacked. Pretty much what this is. |

| All I can say is that I think you need to be around a bit longer before judging the motives of the people on YT. When I first joined YT I had some very strong opinions myself and in time learned that what I originally thought was actually not correct in many cases. I was jumped on in the beginning and when I sat back and really thought about it, the people had misread and misinterpreted what I had said. What did I do? I sat back and started reading more. Kind of like the saying "Take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth.", I opted to be silent and learn and get a lay of the land so to speak. Just as in real life, you have to be careful about making snap judgements about people whether they be positive or negative. I think it actually is more difficult online since there is no tone to writings. Many times people interpret things the way they feel, not the way they really are.

| Yet again I didn't name names and said those people were a minority which if anyone took the time to think about what I'm saying would beg to reason that what I'm saying is the majority of people I really like and respect. I'm an educated adult and in being one it doesn't take me years to make conclusions that are right. You haven't seen me shoot off at the mouth and give my "opinion" on things I have no biz giving my opinion on in the last few weeks. In fact I've done my best to use myself as an example on threads where amateurs have asked why anyone can't breed and why breeders don't sell with open registration. All of my other posts and threads have been kind, encouraging, supportive and positive. If I thought that all of YT was horrible I wouldn't still be here trying to be part of the solution. My opinion will not change about the handful of members who I have seen be hostile to other members and do nothing good to contribute to this site. And I've spent hours upon hours a day reading thread upon thread trying to get a feel for the site. I have a severe chronic illness and it gives me something to do during the night when I'm up with pain. I haven't and will never name those members to you or anyone else... it is my personal opinion which I am entitled to. Just like you a free to your personal opinion of me as member. Have at it! Thanks for once again telling me how it is and where to get off and how to be an adult and for never having anything positive or encouraging to say about anything right I have done as a new member since being here! And for using a thread I had started to encourage people to "tell me how it really is!" I'm learning every single day how I will choose to act towards new members now and when I've been here 50 years through examples like these! Have a great day! |
