The reason you can see their posts to criticize is because they are ALWAYS posting and trying to help another YT member. They've saved countless new Yorkie parents from being conned into paying outrageous prices for sick babies, helped those who had already purchased sick babies by giving advice and sharing their experiences, and helped new owners learn to care for their new furchildren. They've helped with rescue and education. They've bettered the breed both with their own litters and by helping new breeders. They've become a family who supports one another outside of yorkie business.

Here's how I see it... You may not like your inlaws, but if you go to Christmas and spill all the things they do that annoy you, then you're spoiling for a fight. I think this thread has shown just how generous the family of "Ultimate YT'ers" really are...
I kept thinking about this thread last night and came in this morning to find this post that says exactly what I had decided to say. I was going to highlight a few of the lines as emphasizing my feelings, but then I realized there was no need - the entire post says it all for me.

I love being here on YT, I love the friends I've made and the fun we have. But, my main purpose for being here will always be to learn and to help others learn. I found this site while searching for answers on yorkies and what I found was a place filled with love, devotion and respect for the breed. I feel sorry for those who don't recognize what YT offers and leave before they can discover it.

Those who are looking for the above but don't like the answers they

Here it's page 9 and I really thought this thread was going to go in
the wrong direction so I didn't post until now but I guess all those Ultimate YT'ers kept it going in the right direction

Default Amen preach sister

im a new owner. ziggy is my first dog/puppy/yorkie etc etc. we had dogs growing up when i was younger lol but they stayed in the backyard, ziggy is a completely different ballgame. i always wanted a puppy, or a dog. i saw him in a petstore (yorkies i mean, not my baby) and said 'ooh i want one', well be careful what you wish for, cuz i did not know what i was getting lol. i basically on a whim decided to feed and clean up poop twice daily for the next 10-15 years, LOL. my bad. ok but im going to stick it out. i wasnt a yorkie expert when i got him, and i doubt anyone is until after they get their dog, even the ultimate yorkie owners dont know squat with their first dog. so i ask questions on yahoo and get all these rude answers like i should know this stuff already and guess what i GOOGLE ok.

i guess im just tired of people acting too superior to answer the simple questions and acting like because someone is asking them that their an idiot or irresponsible owner. yea i am an idiot and im irresponsible at times, but when someone asks a question they are trying to enlighten themselves, if you cant help, dont, but no reason to be rude.

i had no clue what a backyard breeder was until i got my puppy. i saw his breed at a puppy store in the mall and wouldve got him then and there except they wanted 1600 and i paid half that from a breeder. (I didnt do any research until after i got him. i know thats not a smart way to go into owning a pet, but i admit it, i had no clue it was this involved.) i got to meet his mom, his dad is in shows, but i didnt get to meet him. i met ziggys brother (sold - but the buyer visited while i was there) and his sister. He also had a contract. At this point im still not sure whether it was a backyard breeder because ppl with no clue are giving me rude information online to make themselves feel like knowitalls.

im glad i found yorkie talk and i do have a tough skin, lol. now all im worried about is asking questions that have already been asked cuz this search turns up hundreds of stuff, LOL. anyways, yes im a new owner, ya im irresponsible, LOL hell i admit it because i probably am somewhat compared to all the geniuses online. i take care of my baby though and i want to end this by saying just cuz someone doesnt know what you know doesnt mean you should heap all kinds of assumptions and judgement on them. its rude, and its a little bit presumptive of some ppl. you can give info without being demeaning thats all im saying. unless of course thats your intention to belittle people, in which case you should reevaluate your contribution to humanity, lol.

sincerely me & ziggy
(and yes ziggy feels the same way as i do cuz any questions i ask are going to help him and he knows his mama has the best intentions for him!!!!)

I have enjoyed reading this thread. There are so many good posts that have expressed my exact feelings. I love YT and of course there have been a few times I felt like I was being picked on but I know the posters had good intentions. Anyone that is on a large forum like this will eventually get their feathers ruffled. We just have to take advice we don't like with a opened mind and move on.

Default did i say too much

now im nervous im going to be chastised for not doing my homework first, lol. i respect the fact that you guys take loving animals so seriously so before anyone tries to make a villian out of me (cuz i have a feeling im just who the ultimate YT experts target) i just want to say this;

i said all of those things knowing my own error, although admittedly not until after i got him. i know thats not the greatest way to start loving a yorkie, but i love him as much as any of you, i would bet my paycheck to that.

im just trying to present the new owner, who doesnt know jack side of things.

its a bit disconcerting when you ask for info and people beat you down for what you dont know. stating facts such as, 'a reputable breeder would not sell a puppy until its 12 weeks' is not offensive. saying 'that breeder is a peice of sh*t and so are you', LOL is harsh. ok thats an exxageration, but as a new owner i fully resonate with this post. im not asking you all to hold my hand and say there there, its ok. im just asking not to be treated like an idiot when i am here trying, thats all.

peace & love

There are many people (like me) who don't start asking questions until after they bring their new yorkies (or any other puppies) home. I wish everyone would do their homework before they go looking for a new pet but that's just not realistic. I admire the ones, like you, who make the effort to ask questions and learn no matter how old their baby or how long they've had them. I think you're going to be just fine.

Now the tone in that was just a bit much. As for the Ultimate YT'ers that doesn't gain respect in my book it is just my opinion as those referenced as such usually come of to many as speaking down to them instead of helpful. Which has been addressed time and time again. It's all about delivery and as long as the original poster keeps it together along with those that post afterward. Then all will be peachy and it won't go in the wrong direction.

I don't want those that agree or disagree to feel as if this is a battle of right or wrong. This isn't the case and nor is it a competition so the several that continue to mention the term I used seem to have an issue with it. Just note it is what it is and is to be taken as just that.

I commend those that are expressing themselves and keeping dialogue, light and airy because at some times my spirit felt as if responses weren't keeping it as such. If there are direct issues with what I said I invite you to PM me as I don't want the focus to get off the original intent of this post. Please don't think that anything I said here I wouldn't verbalize in person. I'm extremely direct, honest and caring person. If it so moves you, I'm open to phone conversation as well - even though it isn't that serious. I'm just putting it out there.

This post is doing what I believe it was needed to do on YT which is educating those who agree with either points that people have made by giving them a voice. Yet, allows an opportunity for healthy discussion of different point of views.

I'm glad you have enjoyed reading this. I agree with you. Not saying it's about feelings hurt but more like courtesy. I can't change how people say things, yes this is the internet and online but still there is a way to not put down while educating. I'm a firm believer that many of those that respond that way on here wouldn't walk up to a stranger in person and respond the same way. Now, in my case. Yes, I do and would. Same way I'm on here is the same way I'm in person. In other professional organizations I speak up and out often, but what works for me ... doesn't work for everyone.

Many of those ultimate YTers have also helped people with sick or injured dogs or with people who are having trouble delivering puppies

The tone of the post wasnt negative or nasty. I was just stating a point. How come you keep saying anyone with an opposing post has a negative tone. I could say the same thing about your post. Thats all Im gonna say on this thread because I think you are just looking for people to agree with you only

I don't have a problem with people voicing their opinions and everyone not agreeing with me. Really makes me no difference as I've stated I haven't had issues on here. I'm simply saying the tone of what is being written is being understood to not positive but comes off as more argumentative or now what. Not just you but other as well. So in order to diffuse this I'm responding as such and I'm not even close to upset and don't believe I'm being rude. I'm just keeping it moving. I'm viewing from 2 perspectives and just see how some won't take it for what it is.

I could care less if you agree. Heck, Wylie's mom didn't agree with me, yet she kept it light.
