YT 2000 Club Member | I have recently been reading Beverly Lewis books. She writes about the Amish people. I know to some this doesn't sound very intriguing, because at first I thought the same. However, I love to read and am generally open minded when it comes to reading, so I tried one of her books and that was all it took........I was hooked. Most of the settings take place in or around Lancaster, PA. She has taken great pains to keep the history of the Amish people and their ways, culture, speech, etc. accurate. I found myself actually there with these people.......laughing, crying and cheering them on......well, I guess by now you can tell I am a true fan of Beverly Lewis. You might want to try a book of hers. Have a great Day!

| I have to agree with what people are saying about the Twilight series. I am NOT a fan of vampire anything, but these books just sucked me in. In fact, my husband didn't see me for 3 weeks unless I was in my chair reading. I think he was fed up with that. I now am reading the Lord of the Rings series. A bit tougher read with the way the language is written (old style), you have to concentrate, but I'm enjoying them, nonetheless. I loved the movies. I also like Star Trek: The Next Generation. I know, I'm a nerd, but I started watching the series back in high school with my dad cause that's all that came on our tv then at that time of day. But I got hooked and started reading the books, too. They are fun reads if you like that sort of thing.

| I really love almost ALL of Jodi Picoult's books! My Sister's Keeper, Change of Heart, etc. Pretty much every single book I've read of hers has left me with a OMG face and I can't put the book down and I'm not a big reader. She writes a lot about real-life situations, sometimes her books are kind of depressing but they're all written soo well. Alot of trial stuff, murder stuff, mixed in with a little romance. Maybe it doesn't sound appealing but I'm begging you to check her out lol! Read the summaries of each of her books and see which one interests you the most.

| That gives me an idea. Is there a such thing as an online book club? We could choose a book every month then start a thread to talk about it the last day of the month. |

| A wonderful book "The Shack" by Wm. Paul Young. The #1 New York Times Bestseller. Where tradedy confront eternity. I couldn't put it down and it made me really look at things in a whole new perspective. Just peek at it in the bookstore. It comes in paperback now too. |

| My cousin had two books published last year - they are both science fiction (which I DO NOT like at all) ~ however I LOVED these books. I would highly recommend them in order and a third will be coming in 2010.... Scott Sigler is the author; Infected and Contagious are the two books.
