I'm not a rock fan either but I think Adam is fantastic and even if he doesn't win, he'll difinitely get a contract. My other pics are Danny and Alexis Grace.

As for the new rules, don't you think it's because of the new producer this year? Nigel is no longer with AI.

I was glad to see Kelly come back this year and I hope some of the other past winners will.

:) I feel the same way about Paula and I think a lot of times, she's stoned on something. She was like that on Tuesday night and only half what she said made any sense. Her contract is up this year and I wonder if she'll be back.

Paula can be way out there. I don't think she acts like she is on drugs as much as last year. I know she has had back trouble so she was taking prescriptions for that.

She is an absolute disgrace. Lou I understand what you are saying but she could take the drugs early or miss a day BUT that has nothing to do with her dress (many 11 and 12 yrs olds watch this show) and it also has nothing to do with the way she throws herself at all those young men half her age. Tuesday was one of her worst. I think she does alot of drinking before hand or stoned whatever!!

She does a lot of flirting with the young guys, that's for sure.

I was wondering if Kara is there this year so we get used to her and it won't be so weird if/when Paula doesn't come back next season. I'm thinking this is her last season with AI.

I suppose you are right. I hadn't really thought about the young girls watching. I would have thought that the scandle about her and that one guy would have subdued her a bit. And as far as the drugs go, my husband takes oxycontin and never acts like that. Sometimes he has trouble understanding something I am telling him but he doesn't talk like she does. Sigh. I just wish she would straighten up, but if they replace her Kara would be great.

My favs were Adam Lambert, Allison and Alexis! Allison was AWESOME Tuesday night and Adam is just in a league of his own! I like the new rule and I still love Paula even tho she's on the weird side sometimes!!! That is what I love about AI her and Simon!

I enjoy the interaction between Paula and Simon too, concerning her clothes, I think they're fine, and young girls need to be taught that they can't wear the same clothing, as women. By the way, you can find your favorite contestant singing their songs on U-tube, and this can be embedded in you profile page.

I hope Adam and Allison or Alexis are the top 2 and for that matter the top 3! All 3 rocked it out!! I'm not sure I like Kara in the mix...I always like to see what kind of mess Paula is gonna get into. Simon will always be my favorite! LOL

I think that the new rule is a good idea, but they arent using it the way that they should. Last night, Jasmine was the first to be "voted off", so she sang and then the judges decide if they want to save her. This dosent make sense to me, because two people went home last night. So if the judges did save Jasmine, then who ever was the next person to go home, was really going to go home and never even had a chance to be saved.

But I guess that was just for last night because there were two people going home, the other weeks it will be just one person, so yeah I guess they are using it the right way, lol. I was very surprised to see Jasmine go home though, but I just knew Jorge was leaving..

I think the rule would be better if the judges had the option of using it every week rather than only once during the season - but only once per contestant - that would give the show more suspense.

I think Danny will outlast Adam because I believe Danny is more versatile - and really that is an important quality in who lasts on this show.

Personally, I like Paula - her quirks make the panel more interesting - Randy's dawg is more boring -- Although, I do think her comment last night about Simon trying to undress her was inappropriate given that many people see this show (once pass the audition weeks) as a a family show

Of course I love Adam, but I just love Meagan also:eek:she just has such a unique sound. She reminds me SO much of Nellie Furtado.

I don't watch American Idol, never have. I've been told by alot of friends and family member that my son Sean looks alot like Adam. I'm going to try and post a picture..I have no idea how...lol

The judges can save it for when America gets it wrong and votes off the better singer to save one that is of lesser talent...when the judges decide to use it no one goes home but then the next week 2 will go home. If they chose to save Jasmine last night Jorge would have been the only one to go home and then they would not be able to use another save. They only get "ONE" save :)
I hope that clarifies the new rule on the judges save :)

I like Meagan and her unique voice but Allison and Alexis have that edgy voice I prefer LOL...I'm a rocker chick anyway LOL

I like Danny too but Adam is more of the type of music the younger generation is gonna identify with per se....Of course I'm a rocker at heart and just think he will out do Danny even tho I like him...Danny was my favorite until Adam rocked it out on Tuesday night!

I really like Adam and Danny. It's going to be tough to decide between the two. Adam definitely has a lot more experience, but Danny definitely brings alot of joy to the viewers when he performs. As for the girls, I like Allison, Megan, and Alexis. Although I would like to see Megan try a more difficult song so I could hear what her range is.

As for Paula, I feel that she's doing a lot better this season then the last. Last season, she looked/acted like she was either too drugged up or drank too much. This season she seems more sober. Of all the judges I think she's the kindest to the contestant. I like her, and of course the banter between her and Simon.

Even though Danny can make it a fun performance to watch, I feel Adam makes it fun AND exciting. Vocally, Adam seems more gifted than Danny. Physically, Danny is a cuter, younger version of Robert Downey Jr. LOL. While Adam with another hairdo would be cute in his own way. Character-wise, I feel more sincerity in Adam than I do Danny. Danny seems... fake... although, that didn't stop me from liking him at the start. But as the season goes on, I think he'd just be too full of himself from the fame and is a fame seeker, but then again, all of them has to be, right. I was originally more of a Danny fan than an Adam fan. But Adam easily won me over a little bit more with each passing week.

I know at this point, I'd buy Adam's album and continue to show my support to him by purchasing his releases--again, I still think he needs to change his hair! With Danny, I wouldn't be against watching him perform or listening to him on the radio, but I will not spend any money on him. :p

Lil and Allison, I'd continue to listen to and depending on their direction, I will support them as well. Lil needs a better stylist even if she wants to go for the classier look, she's not doing it very well right now as it's leaning towards tacky (Tuesday). Allison, I don't really care for her choice of hair dye. LOL. At that point, I think when hair has to look so fake, they might as well not ruin it with hair dye and just use a fashionable wig! But I guess fake looking bright hair is the current trend maybe (but comes off as punky "cheap" to me :p ). I still enjoy her performances and vocals--it's amazing for one so young--16, was it?? With Alexis, in spite of her rocker voice, which I do like, and she is a cute girl, I don't think she stands out as much and I'm not sure if I'd add her album to my collection and I know I wouldn't pay to see her in concert. She doesn't excite me to watch.

With Megan, the tattoo sleeve on her totally ruins her sweet girl look and style. When I catch myself thinking there's a pretty girl in a cute dress, my attention is then brought to her arm which takes away from her sweetness immediately. If she was a biker chick and rocker type of girl, I think she'd look good. So I'm not getting who she is. Also, with her last few performances, I can't help but think they're starting to sound identical. I almost thought she did the same song. Her performance/dance/jingle was very much like what she did previously.

Of course, my thoughts don't count since I CAN'T VOTE! I'm in Canada! LOL

Dialing the numbers here don't seem to work for me! Tried during a previous season. Haha. But I have bought AI albums. :p I was pretty disappointed with Daughtry's only because I think they made him do "safe" songs on his first release. :( His songs during the competition were so much more exciting. But I'll continue to support him. I also love Kelly Pickler, lol... she should continue to pursue a career in showbiz, outside of singing. She was hilarious back when she did some interviews for Leno. :D

I like Paula..she cracks me up. Randy does too. And I love Simon..he tells it like it is. Kara is okay... I would be sad if Paula wasn't there anymore..she's part of the show.

This is what makes the world go around. What is we all wanted to buy the same dress, pair of shoes and loved the same AI contenstant. I guess my problem is after David Cook, it's hard to adjust:D

Does it seem like Simon is being a bit kinder this year? He did crack me up when he made the comment about singing "Bad".

I noticed he was kinder; I enjoy his "tell it like it is" attitude, and some of these people need to be told, to forget their singing "careers." However, he has crossed the line many times between honesty and cruelty, and this year, I thought his criticism was much more constructive. It's funny, because so many people say that they hate Simon, but it seems like a small complement from him, means so much more to contestants than praise coming from the other judges, so it looks like they value his opinion more.

I was sad to see Jasmine leave so early. My DH really liked her and did not understand her getting the boot so early. Jorge I was not surprised about. I was a bit disappointed in Michael's performance. My favorites are still Danny and Adam even though I am not a rocker fan. Alison is good but she can sure make some strange faces. I think she needs more confidence in herself.

I really like Simon, I think the show would not be the same without him. Paula is goofy. I do think she could dress a little more modestly. My DH thinks she was drunk Tuesday night.

Right now I really like Adam,Danny, and Scott.
I kinda like Allison, but i can't stand her hair, it's just too loud for me.
but she's still a really good singer.

Did anyone else notice Tuesday Night, when Megan was performing that the camera either shot everything from the angle of her clean arm or was so tight on her face that you couldn't see all the gook on her sleeved arm? I think the producers are trying to keep focus off the arm on purpose. Trying to sell her as something else. I look at that arm & then see her last couple song choices & I just don't know how the 2 things go together - that sleeve doesn't seem to fit the personality she is portraying on AI :confused:


I don't know so much that he is being kinder - but they all have less time to talk with 4 judges - although, even as I said I like Paula, she seemed to have more mic time than the other 3 judges on Tuesday.

Again we can all have different opinions but I think Megan's arm with her tattoo's is what makes her appeal to a wider group of people and since that is the case I would think the judges would love it. They once said that between her looks and voice she was the entire package. Young people would consider her much cooler:cool: than looking like little Mary Sunshine.

Just my opinion coming from an old lady:D who thinks she is super cool.
