I think some of them did have poor song choices. Allison and Megan Joy were my two favorite girls but I like Jesse a lot too. I still like Matt, the welder, even though I did not like his song choice. I also like Adam, Kai and Kris. I wonder if many people watched tonight. I got through on all the lines to vote with no busy signals but last week it took me forever to get through.

I really liked Mishavonna - she might have been my favorite -- I don't understand why the judges were so incredibly hard on her. Just because she is 18 - why does every 18 yr old have to be some silly young pop singer - some people are just old souls - and that may describe Mishavonna. She at least has a more refined character and manner of carrying herself. That is more to look up to than some of the pop artist out there.

I also, thought Allison's vocals were amazing. She can really sing - but there doesn't seem to be much there when she isn't singing. She has so much room to grow.

I had really liked Jasmine before and was most disappointed for her.

And what was that Jeanine thinking :eek: - do you think she knew shouldn't make the top 3 with her voice so she decided to sex it up with her legs?? She does have gorgeous legs - and of course the camera played that up from the very 1st shot of her on the stage.

So what did you think of the boys? I had really liked Kai before - not sure after tonight. I so wanted to hear the last guy sing but my dd called & that was more important - was that Adam that went last? - now i can't remember.

As far as Nick/Norman goes -- I really see a future for him -- I think he would be a plus to something like Saturday Night Live or just watch he'll be out on the comedy circuit soon. He may have been a better fit for the Last Comic Standing - although he would have gotten nixed there & also for American's Got Talent. I think he is very, very smart -- and he knew to be very different he would stand out on AI. Not saying I'm a fan - but he does have something. He would be a perfect fit also on The Office if Rainn Wilson aka Dwight - ever left - or Norman could play Dwight's brother :p

Nick/Norman has gotten on my nerves just about as much as Tatiana did.
Allison was by far the best talent last night and I'm not sure of his name....the guy that sang Satisfaction. I didn't like his version of it but I could see the talent in him. Kai has soooo much talent. I hope others see that and disregard how his song turned out. The welder, didn't do too badly I thought.

My guess is that it will be Allison, the Satisfaction guy, and Kai. - Not necessarily my choices but that's what I think will happen. I only voted once and that was for Allison. She can learn how to conduct herself during an interview but you can't learn how to have a voice like hers!

Aside from Allison, I think they were ALL god-awful last night. Too bad they put all the good ones on the first night, because I think Anoop and a few others from that night, were way better than any of the ones from last night.

Yes last night was horrible!! It seems like they put all the bad singers in one group!!!!

Nobody likes Adam Lambert? I really enjoy his performances and hope he makes it through.

Yes, I liked him a lot. I think over all he was one of the more talented ones out of the bunch. I really liked several of the guys but just not their song choices. It will be interesting to see who gets through tonight.

and for the guys Kris and Kai could maybe be better later on in weeks to come but did not care for any of the others.

Yeah, but the people of YT are really good predictors of who makes it through. The judges and I like Michael John last year, and he got the boot early.

Me...me...me... I like Adam Lambert!!! He has an amazing range. Of course, I also think he's very cute. :D I also liked Mishavanna. I don't know why all the judges gave her such a hard time.

And just to clarify . . . . . . I think Adam is an absolute hunk and if looks could win AI he would be a shoe-in.
As of right now I am predicting that Danny or Allison will take it all the way to the fanale.
And I am leaning toward Danny because he is a bit more mature and I think people will like that.

remind me of a very young Elvis tho. He is a cutie for sure
but I didn't actually understand his look.

I also like Danny Gokey as well...he's very talented. However, I think Adam comes with the entire package...looks...voice...and he really stands out from the other contestant. I like him with this haircut instead (this link was posted early by Nancy1999), see linke below. I love the contrast of his blue eyes to his dark hair.

I just saw a commercial for AI - there will be 3 shows this week. Group 3 performs Tues, results Wed & then on Thursday show - they showed the judges picking thru pictures again :rolleyes: -- I was really hoping they would put together 12 singers to sing a second time & let America vote.

I really do not like the way they have put this together this year - I liked the previous 12 girls/12 boys - except I always thought it should be the top 12 singers regardless of sex - which they are doing some of this year. But this was more about which group you ended up in.

The strange thing is I can not find one thing on their website explaining any of the new rules :rolleyes:

I like Adam for his vocals too, but I think he really needs a new hair do. I like the other hair style pic that was linked much better. His hair as it is now seems to take away from his eyes. It feels like his eyes are being swallowed up by the massive hair. It's somewhat "big" but not in the 'fro sort of way, but probably because it's such a dark dye, it just totally consumes the head with the long, flat, straight bangs on the one side. It is indeed a very old Vidal Sassoon kind of look. :p

Of the current bunch, I am thinking Danny, Allison, and Adam are the strongest. In front of the piano, I believe the visually challenged guy is going to be one of the ones making it closer to the top if he performs well enough when it comes to be his turn.

In a way, I think giving the judges a chance to put a few back into the competition is a good thing... seeing as how in the past there were talents who were dropped earlier than they should have been. Like Michaal Johns... Well, I don't like him as he is now, and that song he performed with Carly was "bleh" but I was never really a Carly fan to begin with.

I don't like all the new changes either, I know they want to change it up a bit so it's not the same old show every season, after awhile every show needs a bit of a change or twist. But on the other hand I think it should be the 12 best vocalist no matter if they are male or female. It's supposed to be based on TALENT.

Yeah, I read something about they wanted to give the show a more "reality" type of show feel to it, and let viewers get to know the contestants better. I don't really think this is necessary, and in fact, it may lead to just personality voting, instead of talent voting.
