I read that Simon gave him a standing ovation, can that be true?????

Thanks for posting this, it was on U-tube, but taken off before I could see it, so it may not last long on Photobucket. After reading some of the hateful comments posted on that site, I really hope he wins Idol, I mean I've always thought he was the best, but now I'd really like him to win.

The show went over last night that is why recorders didn't catch his performance. It was awesome! Yes, Simon gave him an ovation. I knew it was going to be the person that left tonight (won't say their name for those who haven't seen the show yet). I just knew it was coming :cry: This is the first time I've EVER cried when someone got sent home on Idol :cry: It just breaks my heart...I feel sooo bad for them :cry:

Well I didn't cry but you sure have to give him credit to have come so far.

I have really gotten in to this season and have become attached to some of them. I was sad to see Scott leave tonight but know it was probably his time. Such a sweet guy and I could see him doing ballads. I was watchng Adam earlier and he seems like a nice humble guy. I have no doubt he will go far but I'm hoping Allison will win. Anoop seems to gave a snobby like attitude. I'm ready for anoop to go

OH MY GOD! First, thank you for not spoiling, and now I know that I cannot read this thread any further! I am stationed overseas (USAF), so we get the broadcast one day after it airs in the US. Auuuugh!!!!! I am so watching this tonight! I am so curious.... All I can say is that I've LOVED Danny from the beginning, I think Allison is fantastic, I think Kris is adorable and I want to take him home and make him sing to me (and hide him from DH?:p), and Adam has been winning me over more and more each week. The competition is getting really heated. I hope Kris is able to stay in the running.... AAAAH, this day cannot go by fast enough!!! I have 8 more hours until AI comes on. I'll be back on this thread tomorrow! :)

Thank God the judges didn't use the save - I liked Scott, but it was time for him go. I think it was Anoop they would have saved of the 3.

I agree it was time for Scott to go home. I think the judges would have saved Lil Rounds instead of Anoop.

I knew Scott would eventually go but I did get teary-eyed to see it actually happen. He is such a sweet person and I will miss his very expressive face...so wonderful to see such a great spirit. He will be missed :(

Oh GOSH I did :cry: I have a very soft spot in my heart for people with disabilities, and even though I don't think that just because he is blind he should have stayed, it just broke my heart to see him go :cry:

I agree with you Michele. It really was so sad to see him go and yes he was such a nice guy it seemed :( I do agree that it was his time and I had a pretty strong feeling that he was going to be the one to get cut tonight, but I just got so sad when Simon said that they weren't going to save him. :cry: I always hate that part!

Love Adam...my hubby thinks that he is going to win :p But YOU know who my favorite is :p :p :p LOL. Allison is another favorite of mine also though...that girl can SING! Anoop DOES act snobby...sometimes his facial expressions are just....so PO'd looking, lol.

I agree. I believe the one they would have considered using the save for was Lil Rounds. In spite of her good "karaoke" performances the past few weeks, she still has a great set of vocals. She even looks amazingly younger (or more like her age) with her new hairstyle and her new wardrobe. But it seems as she improved upon that, her performances and/or song choices have gotten worse. :(

I am hoping the last two standing will be Adam and Allison. If I had to choose a third, I'd say an improved Lil. I enjoyed her earlier performances before she "shouted" that one song and stayed "boring" ever since.

It was Scott's time to go but I was sad too and couldn't help tearing up when Paula was talking to him. He's such a nice guy.

Anoop can sing but he has an attitude and I hope he goes next week.

Lil has good vocals if she would pick the right song but she needs to make a big change for next week.

I'm still hoping the bottom three will be Danny, Allison and Adam.

I was sad to see Scott go too. I think the judges knew that he would not have a chance going much further in the competition if they saved him so I feel they did the right thing by letting him go.

I agree. It is very sad that he has a disablity, but that is really what has been keeping him in the competition so long. Pity voters! Sad to see him go, but it was the right choice.

Sad to see Scott go but it was going to happen sooner or later. I think Lil and Anoop will go too at some point.

I know I'm a little late to add my two cents...but

I'm in my 40's and Adam has completely won me over.:) Like Mike, dh and I find ourselves looking forward to what he does each week. I can't say that I'd ever go to one of his concerts but I will be buying his version of "Mad World"...what a beautiful performance.

Danny Gokey was my favorite in the beginning, but honestly, he's getting boring. I'm still routing for him, but I hope he surprises us soon.

I love Allison. I can't pick on her personality, mg she's 16. When I think about the choices I made at 16:p I certainly can't expect a lot from her. But her voice is amazing. I think she always sounds like a real pro.

Kris and Matt are also very talented.

I liked Scott, but I agree that it was his time to go. There's just a lot of great talent this year.

Lil? I forget about her from week to week...anyone else find that happening?

I agree with this to a point. I think it did keep him in there longer than he should have been but I was happy for him it did, yet he needed to go so he didn't take the place of someone with real talent.

The song you buy from iTunes is actually their studio recording and not the live performance version. Actually, the studio version, except maybe for the Top 36 week, tend to run a little longer as the show version tends to stay around the minute and half mark. The live performance version is only available to download/purchase as a video. I've been buying the studio recordings of the ones I like to show my support especially since I can't vote and these songs may not be on their first album release. :p And I don't even own an i-anything so I have them converted to mp3 to listen to. But I hate how the Motown week, they only had the contestants recorded singing along with the original arrangement rather than their "changed up" version. :(

I still need to get Top 8 week recordings but they tend to be available a couple of days to a week late! They lie when they say it's available for download right after the show. :p It's still on "pre-order" status at that point.

I loved the fact that Adam Lambert chose to sing Gary Jules' arrangement of "Mad World". And the note Adam chose to "shake" upon singing "nervous" was original and brilliant. I love the soundtrack to "Donny Darko" and they even had this version of the song used to promote the video game "Gears of War". I've actually first heard this arrangement because of the latter. There was an ad running pre-movie every time I went to catch a show from the theater before the game was even available for sale.

Lol, I watched this on photobucket so much already, I'm addicted to it; it's hauntingly beautiful. I want to buy it, I see that they now offer both the video for 1.49 and the "album" for .99, can you rip the video if you buy it and make it into just a song?
