Yes, I have to agree that Adam looked alot like Elvis. I'm really glad that he decided to appear with the clean look which totally matched the song. He's such a great entertainer and has an amazing voice.

As for Megan, she did horrible last night, but she did look beautiful. I didn't care too much for Lil's performance either.

I thought the whole bit with Simon drawing a mustache on Paula was a little too childish and overboard.

I also thought that Adam looked like a dark haired Kurt Russel.

Ya know, I just don "get" Adam. Neither my husband or I like anything he has done so far. I do think that Megan is going home this week. She was awful!

Even though I missed seeing Adam last night, I did see a clip on tv this morning from his performance last night and I was totally amazed at how he looked. He has reminded me of Elvis for some time now.

I don't know what age you are but years ago Kurt was in TV movie about Elvis & Priscilla in which he portrayed him. Last night, my husband and I both said the same thing about Kurt and then we remembered the movie. Amazing!

I'm in my late 50's and I loved Kurt Russel since I was a little girl. I noticed him the first time when he was a little boy. He played in a western that took place on a wagon train.

LOL! Putting it that way, Adam definitely does resemble Kurt Russel pulling an Elvis look. haha.

I thought I was weird and was the only one thinking he was doing an Elvis impersonation last night. It was a little creepy for me. LOL Though I've become a huge fan of his. Love him more with each performance. ;) I just wish he can do a "clean" look like a normal person--not make like Elvis. :rolleyes:

And I love Kurt Russel, but I didn't see the resemblance except in that picture of Kurt playing Elvis. :p

I was shocked about matt. I didn't vote for him but he was in the top half and didn't deserve to be in bottom three. I'm glad it was michael but yeah he is a nice guy

I was shocked about Matt - I did vote for him - but had a very hard time getting thru.

Michael did a better job tonight - so I see why the judges wanted to talk- but Simon's decision was the one that would have been made in the end anyway. You have to give Simon credit - that his is willing to say what others won't

I just don't understand why they don't save one of their commercial breaks for after the person sings, that way the judges would have time to talk. Then they could come back from break & the judges could sum up what they thought. I really think as it gets down to fewer singers, the judges are going to need more time to make the decision.

Also, can you imagine the mess, when they save someone one week, then the next that means 2 people are going home! :eek:

I, too, was shocked about Matt being in the bottom three. He is very talented but not very good looking and he doesn't have a very good stage presence. Another shock is that Megan WASN't in the bottom three. I don't think she is going to make it much farther. I am not surprised that Michael went home. He has never impressed me as a great singer. I like him and wish him well. He looked like he was happy about going on tour so I hope that is a good consolation prize. Does anyone know if they get paid for that? If so how much? Do you think he will be able to support his family?

I am wondering if the judges are saving their votes for someone like Allison or Danny. I think they would have used it to save Allison if she had been at the bottom last week. Speaking of which did you ever see such a surprised look as she had on her face when Ryan said she was in the bottom? I felt so sorry for her. (Can you tell she is my favorite?)

I was very shocked that Matt was in the bottom three and not Megan. She sounds so much better when she sings something slow but she still has a voice that I'm not wild about. Wonder what they'll be doing next week?

I'd like to see her win too but I think it's going to be Adam.

I'm probably the only one here that would like to see Allison/Anoop as the last two but it won't happen. I'd add Kris since I LOVE his voice but he has to get his act together and get rid of that guitar:rolleyes:

I agree about Matt, he was one of my favorites last week. It's going to be hard for me from now on since I like the ones that are probably not getting the votes.:cry:

Allison might not win because there are jealous people out there. :p Sad as it is. She's young and seems happy-go-lucky and some people just can't stand to see the already fortunate succeed! Same goes for Adam and then there are those rude board responses regarding his sexual orientation. And then there are those comments about religious supporters for Danny. It's sad that it's not only their vocal talents and week to week performances that determine the last one standing. And I like Lil, except for the performance this week. It was loud and unexciting for me, but I will continue to support her anyway, because she's already so diva-like. I hope all these guys get signed one way or another. Not all idol winners make it far after the show ends and become lesser than one-hit wonders.

I would like to see Anoop in acting too. And I would love it if he'd break out into song during the acts. I don't know why I keep forgetting about Matt--maybe that is the problem. He was amazing last week. This week, it was alright. The same goes for Kris.

For the past 2 weeks, they've been dressing/styling Megan nicely. They've finally picked out clothes for her (or she did it herself) that complements her tattoo arm helping to tone it down some and make it all work. Although she has toned down a little bit of her weird twisting/twirling habit, she still can't stop doing it completely. :p I know people say they really like her voice, but I don't feel her at all and her performances, sick with the flu or not, are poor. Why did Alexis get booted instead of Megan?? :( We all have our preferences. :rolleyes:

I haven't quite decided which is my fave yet but Adam has the best voice and his range is amazing. Allison is fantastic but I'm not sure if she'll win it.

Some of it is really getting on my nerves this year especially the Simon/Paula thing but Ryan is to. I thought the remark that he made about them getting a room shouldn't have been said even though I agree. Bet they have many times! :p

This year, I like few of the idols...Adam...Danny...Allison. I guess out of them 3, I think Adam is the most talented.

I also agree that I would like to see little less of the bantering going on between Simon/Paula and more on the contestants. Anyway, I only watched AI last season and this season only and my all time fav is still David Archuleta. He's such a sweet & humble kid...and has an amazing voice. I know I'm probably going to get bashed by the David Cook fans. :p

When will they get rid of Paula. She is irritating!! Everyone "looks great" tonight. All she does is comment on how they look. Do you think they value her opinion? She's a has been. It's time for new blood. I love Cara, she gives real good advice and is not flighty. I also agree Simon and Paula should stop being so childish. These kids are busting their butts. It is real serious to them.

I really like Simon and most of the time I agree with him. As for Simon and Paula's antics, I think most of the time it is all just in fun and it does not bother me one bit. I think it is nice that Paula tries to say nice things, even if we know they are totally true. I truly think she is just the type that does not like hurting anyone's feelings.

I agree with you on this. I've watched it since season one and I liked all 4 (Ryan) of them. Simon is my fave and I feel he's the best of the judges. As for Paula, she's changed a lot and I think at times she not all that spaced out, it just the way she thinks. The past 2 years, things have gotten out of hand.

Has anyone looked back at some of the video performances and noticed how RUDE Simon and Paula are? I have noticed that during some of them, they are babbling back and forth the whole time. I know that they are the judges, but come on....... that is so unprofessional and ridiculous. :(

The reason Megan is still around is a web site called Vote for the Worst. It's the reason Sanjaya a few seasons ago hung around so long. I hate that they do this because the ones that should go home keep staying around.

I thought he was great this week. Wow what a performance.

If she doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings then she shouldn't be a judge. She doesn't have to insult people, or hurt their feelings, but they don't want to hear that they look nice. That's not what she is there to do. Cara gives constructive criticism and I believe she is helpful to the artist. Paula is just wacko. I don't like her at all. What the heck is she wearing when they walk out onto the stage? Who's dressing her? And I also have to agree most of the time I agree with Simon. I think they are rude to be joking around when the singers are performing, and when they are standing there scared to death, the judges are fooling around. I personally don't like it.

Well, I think when the judges do hear a performance that is really bad they probably do start cutting up and talking more during the performance. My husband and I do the same thing. When a performance is really bad we will sit and talk about it and say how awful it is. Sometimes I might even fast forward through it. If the performer is really good the judges usually sit and watch the whole thing. I do think it is rude of them to cut up while a contestant is performing. It has to make a contestant feel bad if the judges are sitting there joking and making faces while they are performing. Very bad taste.

There are times that Paula gives great feedback - otherwise she hunts for something nice to say - maybe her mom taught her not to say anything, if she couldn't say something nice :rolleyes:

I think she & Simon are great friends - they both love the ACT they have going :eek:

I really like Adam and Allyson. That girl has such raw, natural talent. She is 16 going on 30. I think we will see more of her whether she wins or not. I'm not sure what it is about Anoop, but I like him better when I close my eyes and listen to him sing. I really like Danny as well but, like Anoop, I'm not sure he has that star quality. Even when Adam sang that very strange song, I somehow liked him. Megan is great but in a very limited genre. I think the winner should sound good singing a variety of songs. So far Adam is my pick, with Allyson a close second.

I love Adam and Danny. My husband said he thought Adam looked like Pee Wee Herman the other night when he had his hair all slicked back. I think it will all come down to Adam, Danny and the red hair girl for the top three. That's only my opinion.
