I have mixed emotions on how the voting is this year too. One way to look at it is that we have 36 candidates to choose from instead of 20. The stressful part is when you have several favorites in one group and you know some will be eliminated right away. At least with the wildcard we know some of them will have a chance to continue. So far I like all the ones that have gone through.

Me too!! I am anxious to see the Scott (the blind guy) sing and perform. I have so much admiration for him. I really hope he does well.

I cannot stand Nathaniel. He is such a cry baby. I hope he acts better tonight.

Thanks, I'm going to check the link out. So far my top two favs is Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey. I like Allison too, but when she sang the song again during the result show, it sounded like her voice was going and she was really straining her vocal chords.

Have you guys noticed the IQ thing that pops up at the top of this thread? It often says that Tatiana has an IQ of 133. I do NOT believe it! I refuse to believe that twit has a higher IQ than me! i know its a come-on to get me to take the quiz but how irritating is that!

Why are there so many good singers in this third group?? I could see a number of these singers going on. This is by far the best of the 3 groups, and I would have rather seen more people come out of this group.

Ok, just finished watching all 12 contestant in the 3rd group sing. So far, I think I like Lil Rounds the best....but I agree all of them were pretty good.

I know! There were a lot of good singers in this group...way more good ones than in the other groups, especially that first group.

This really makes it unfair to this group. I don't know how the judges are going to just pick 3 more on Thursday night. I would guess that all 3 the judges choose come from this group.

I really hope they see this method of the groups does not work & go back to the previous way or something closer to it.

yeah i was wondering how they'll choose the three wildcards. will they have to come from each group or just three out of the whole group

yeah...finally found a place where theres chatter about AI!!! Seems like the majority of yahoo groups I belong too that they aren't into AI or just burnt out with it. I'm still a fan...and watch faithfully every week when its on. I wasn't really impressed tongiht at all with any of them. I agree overall it was the best round of people....but none of them blew me away as did first and second weeks. First week was Danny, who has been my favorite thus far throughout and last week it was Adam. i thought they all did comparably the same tonight....they weren't bad....but they were perfomrances I'd remember either. I really like Scott McIntyre.....but I dont feel like it was his best perfomrance tonight....hopefully he will get through and I think he will do some great things when he gets to sing with the piano. Wild card show ill be intersting to see who they bring back.....I just hope that we dont see the return of Bikini Girl, Tatiana or nick Mitchel....those three totally annoyed me. Anybody know who Felicia Barton took the place of? I was trying to figure out who wasn't on there that was to have made it to the end and I dont remember?

Remember that girl who made it through the judges' mansion night. She was the one who had released album(s) under a different label but never made it far enough either due to poor marketing or something. She got disqualified just after that due to conflict of interest, apparently--or so hubby read then told me as I don't read gossip columns. :p She's allegedly familiar/friends with the producer(s) of AI as she lives in the same building as one.

I really enjoyed her first audition performance but thought she did poorly during Hollywood week and couldn't see why she passed while some others more deserving got dropped at the mansion night.

I have not seen her around since then though I have yet to get around to watching tonight's show. We don't get to vote up here anyway so I always save up episodes to watch later. :rolleyes:

As far as last night's show I am really torn. I do think Lil was the best but wasn't really impressed with anyone else.

I missed why she left too thanks for filling me in. I can see why she was disqualified, but if that was the case why did she even try out knowing that would happen. Oh well, someone else got another chance from it and that's a good thing. I thought the first 4 or 5 were just ok then they started to get better after that. But then I have such a head cold I could be wrong.

She knew the rules - I think she just wanted to find a way to get her name out there and possibly launch her career

I dont remember her by face but I do remember there being a girl who had her name out there already. That kind of makes me mad when they let people with prior expierence to the business on there anyway. Of course they say that AI is not specifically geared towards finding hiddn talent.....you sort of get that vibe from the show and I just think that people who have already had experience in the business shouldn't be allowed...nor do I think it was even fair of t his girl to think she should be given the chance to try out. I'm like the last poster...I think she did it only to get her name out there and for free publicity.

I don't think having prior experience should mean they don't get a chance. If they were terrible enough or under poor management, etc, they deserve a second chance if they did what everyone else did--line up outside for hours for an audition. In the end, the people vote, so I believe it's fair enough. Not all who are fortunate enough to have released albums are what I'd consider great or even good singers and sometimes the good ones don't sell for one reason or another.

She wasn't the first. Carly made it to tour, and she had previously been signed with a different label with a different surname and never got anywhere. Michael Johns had released an album or two in Australia. The current Danny Gokey is a church choir instructor, I believe. And then there were horrible vocal trainers who auditioned in the past, but had sounded tone deaf. There had been bar/lounge and hobby singers, so I don't see the difference. They're all professions but just with different avenues of marketing.

What got this contestant dropped was the fact that she might have been acquainted with the producer(s) thereby possibly influencing the selection process. She did include in her audition form her past, whereas, I believe last season, those "professionals" did not. I specifically recall Carly being one of them and thereby bringing on this talk about the fairness of a veteren entering this competition.

So, what did you all think of the 3 choices from last night's group? What did you think of the 8 selected for the Wild Card show tomorrow?

I can't believe they threw away one of the Wild card spots on Tatitana -- several of those from last night were better than here - including the blonde country singer and the guy who sang Deliliah. I also was hoping they would have chosen the girl who sang the Jupitar song a few weeks ago.

I thought te end was harsh when they left all those hopefuls upstage without another word & started celebrating on stage.

Tomorrow night will be interesting. I wonder if they will actually announce the 3 tomorrow night or stretch this out & make those 8 to find out & be prepared to sing on Tuesday.

I voted for Scott and Lil so I was so glad they made it through! I did not like Jorge at all :thumbdown There were so many other good singers in group 3..it was a tough group. My other vote was for Kendall...she was too cute and I saw potential for her to be another Carrie Underwood/Taylor Swift type country singer. I'm not really into country but I like the more pop kind like they sing.

I'm really excited about the Wildcard episode! Some of them I was so excited they made it back like Jasmine and Megan Joy..and I'm sure there were others I can't think of right now. I always really liked Jasmine but she just didn't do so well last week, but she's such a great singer. Some of them i really didn't remember...too many to keep up with. and oh man..Tatiana. I still have to say she's a good singer but she is a crazy girl.. I don't blame them for putting her through because her vocals are good but I hope she doesn't make it through to top 12...too many other NORMAL good singers. Her dress tonight looked aweful though didn't it?

Well I watched tonight and i predicted that Lil would get female spot and Scott would get male spot and whoever got third spot was up in the air to me. Like I said previously they were all prety much the same to me.....not very memorable but not totally horrible....well except the guy who knocked the stand over....ok...so that one was kind of bad...LOL I wasn't really all that happy that the third spot went to Jorge.....but not surprised either.

Far as the wild cards....for the most part I thought they did a pretty good job of handing them out. I was really hoping that I'd saw the last of Tatiana.....yes she's a good singer but she's annoying and very self centered. Her personality just ruins her chances of making it very far in this competition i believe for her unfortunately. I could have done without a few of the other wild cards too....such as Anoop who I think may have a voice but his stage pressence is very boaring and the red head Jesse.....isn't she the one who butched the Kim Carnes song Betty Davis Eyes? Eeek!! I would have liked to have seen Matt Betzke (bald headed guy) Felicia (the girl w ho got to take the other girl's place) or Ju'nut come back before I would have picked Tatiana, Anoop and Jesse....and I dont understand why they didn't bring back 12 instead of 8....since the other three shows had 12 contestants. That seemed odd to me. Would have gave a few more a second chance.

All in all....the majority of my faves h ave either already made it to the final 12 or they are in the wild card. I think the only one that didn't make it to either that I'm really bummed about is Matt Betzke and I think he just choose the wrong song this last time and unfotunately that one bad call cost him a chance at the final 12. Danny is and has been throughout my favorite. I also really like Adam, Scott McIntyre and Matt Giraud (who is in the wild card show). i really think that a guy is going to win it this year....the girls just aren't impressive much to me this year.

And did anybody see the racey pics of Adam kissing another guy that were leaked to the media? They seem to think it may hurt his chances of making it far in the competition. I honestly dont care....I still think he's got an awesome voice and he works the stage, so even if he was kissing a tree he's still be one of my faves!! I do however think he may make it bigger on stage than he will on radio.

I didn't like all the choices but they could have skipped Tatianna and it wouldn't have broken my heart. Guess I know when to take a potty break.

Well, Howard Stern and his idiots are going ot have a field day with Tatianna now!

I really believe out of the 8 to sing tonight - there are at least 3 better than she is. If they put her thru to the top 12 it's all for ratings & so people keep talking about the show :thumbdown -- and we all know AI is not above that!

We'll see tonight, but I too would hate to see her in the top 12 - that blubbering last night was the absolute WORST - how does that girl think she could ever be a professional? No one would want to work with someone that cries at the drop of a hat.

She makes it to AI finals - and Saturday Night Live, and all the late night comics have something to imitate.

She is such a Drama Queen she belongs on a daytime soap.

I completly agree. She's a nut case. She'll be gone (I hope) soon enough. I think they brought her back because it's drama. Keeps people watching. If she makes it I will stop watching this season. I can't take her.

I have to agree with all the above comment about Tatiana. She is such a drama queen...although she denied in the previous show that she's like that. And during the 2nd group performance she was acting all weird and trying to be more contorlled. I really think she's bi-polar or something. :rolleyes:

I don't think she is bipolar but if she is clinically depressed she might cry at the drop of a hat even at good news. hmmmm
