I've thought for a number of years now that she was chosen because she's pretty and you have to remember that she's under contract. It ends with this season.

Unprofessional and rude, yes!! Look to who starts it every time. (a woman old enough to know better) I never pay any attention to her opinion but Cara looks at the best part of a song and adds what they can do better, I really like her. Simon is usally right on and everyone looks to his critique.JMO:)

Yes, I've noticed that too and I was thinking to myself that it was extremely rude. These contestants worked so hard to get where they are today and you can't even give them 100% of your time for just 2-3 minutes. :rolleyes:
Anyway, having said that I still like Paula and Simon, although the whole marker drawing on the face the other week went a little to far. I don't mind the bantering that goes on between them, but last week I think it was a little too much.

I think it's very rude for them to be playing around when the contestents are singing and it's probably why some of them don't do any better than they do.

I've read it's apparently going to be a choice from iTunes Top Downloads and this may mean it's a choice from their Top 100 list. AI would need to get the song(s) released and licensed for their use so that may or may not restrict which songs on that list they can actually choose from to perform.

I'm wondering about the make-up of this thread. I think we may be split up by age differences. For example I am over 50 and am favoring Danny and Allison. I wouldn't vote for Adam if my life depended on it. But I wan to understand why others like him? Care to tell how old you are?

I like Allison and Adam and Danny and I'm gonna be 46...Adam is very very talented vocally, maybe not a style of music some like but vocally he's awesome. I, however, love all types of music and rock is one of them LOL...Adam is what I call punk rock maybe but most can't touch his vocal range in this competition. My favorite however is Allison.

Donna, I like rock but it's the 'punk rock' that I'm ??? He does have a good voice BUT if someone stuck me with a pin I bet I could hit his notes.:bunnysmiley: LOL On the positive side I do believe he'll win.

I'm 34 and like all types of music. If there is someone I would have to pic for this season AI, it would be Adam. I just hope he tames down his look, since I don't really dig the black eyeliner and black nail polish. BTW, I also like Danny and Allison as well. :bunnysmiley2:

I didn't start off liking Adam actually. I was a fan of Danny's until each week starting from Top 36 week, Adam displayed such amazing vocal talent that he started winning me over however grudgingly. And now, I'm totally an Adam fan. I'm just not a fan of his heavy make-up and hair. :p He had started painting his face and nails more up until last week's Elvis look. But when I looked at his pictures pre-idol, he had been pretty heavily made-up, so I guess it's a part of his style he was creeping back into. But I can't deny his vocals and his performances each week were just as exciting to watch. He has amazing vocal control.

Danny's raspy voice is nice. His genre is what I listen to more of in comparison to the punk rock type, however, each week, he did not get better to my ears. I can see how restricted he would be in what he can do as an artist. There are more exciting signed artists already who has just as raspy a voice. Given that, I know I wouldn't choose to buy his music or go see him in concert because I started not liking him. He seemed a bit fake to me. How he took to Smokey's advice, which didn't seem well at all, also reinforced to me the arrogance he already has. To me, he seems pretty full of himself especially as he gained popularity as weeks go by on AI. He really reminds me of a relative-by-marriage of mine. LOL. A "nice guy" for the world to see, but a little too selfimportant for my liking.

I have also become a fan of Allison's from the week to week performances. The only time I was disappointed with Allison's performance was when she was resinging a song that gave her the seat to the next round. Can't recall what it was, but she didn't give it her all like she did the previous night. As well, I have enjoyed Lil's voice throughout the competition. Matt's performances are inconsistent. Scott's, I only enjoyed during Hollywood week. Anoop's varies. Kris only impressed with his Country Week performance.

I used to leave the country music channel running in the background when everyone else listened to / watched Much Music / MTV. :p Although I'm not in my 50's, I still feel older than I'd like to be. :p I don't know what it says about my taste when I was so excited the other year when Air Supply was performing in town. LOL. The hubby's buddies were teasing him about it but I totally do not regret going to see them perform. LOL. And then I can't wait to go see Richard Marx in concert at the end of April. Also, I was so happy when I got front row tickets to see Bryan Adams. Haha. I think I'd catch the Carpenters too if given the opportunity. I was actually contemplating going to see the Beach Boys except the band members who are still alive are not all the originals and from what I've read, the ones left behind seem too petty. Boy did I love their "Kokomo" song. :D While the hubby wants to go see Eminem, Nickleback and so forth. Oh, and I got him to appreciate Josh Groban even if he doesn't love him like I do. His voice is amazing, he has great personality, and he's a cutie! The entire package! LOL

I am 60 years old and although I don't like Adam's choice of music, I think his vocals are amazing and I have been voting for him and Danny. I don't keep up with today's music that much. I mainly like oldies music, country and some rock. As for the girls, I do think Alison has the best vocals but to be honest, I am not crazy about any of the girls. Maybe that will change.

I'm probably the oldest here and even though I don't like all that crazy look, black nail polish etc, I think Adam has a fantastic voice. I wonder at times if he's gothic but it just might be his image. With today's younger singers you never know. I like a variety of music but the only rock I like is 50's style. :bunnysmiley2:

Shirl, I know I'm older than you and I love almost all music except Lawrence Welk:bunnysmiley: Now, I like the David Cook type of rock. I remember last year and other years that I loved them so much you couldn't stand to see them lose but even with my favorites , I don't feel that way this year.

Nope, I must be older than you because I like Lawrence Welk. :) At the moment, my favorite is Michael Buble. Saw him in concert last year and he was awesome. Even singing without music, he didn't miss a note.

I'm in my late 50's and my favorites are Allison and Adam. I don't like the way Adam dresses and the style of his hair but I think he is very talented. He can take any familiar song put a spin on it and make it almost new again. Allison kind of reminds me of Janis Joplin with the raspy rocker voice. The vibrant red hair has to go. I've never stopped listening to the most current music so I like today's music as much as I did the music in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.

I'm 24 and my I think my biggest favorite so far..and consistantly has been Allison. I also like Danny, Megan (even though she isn't always consistant but I love her voice), and Lil. I mean really..this has overall been a great group. I'm not really a fan of Anoops, although two weeks ago I thought he did well. I'm not really a fan of Adam at all..I hate that Emo look on guys..hate hate it. And I hate "heavy metal screaming"...The ring of fire I thought was aweful. Last week I liked him okay but he tamed it down a LOT and I know most people like him for the stuff I don't like him for.

Im with you, Im in my early 50's and my fav's are Adam and Allison also. I like Danny too, but I think Adam is in a class of his own. (and I listen to country, go figure that one!):rolleyes:

My favorites are Megan, and Scott I really like that he plays the piano and I think he has a great voice. :D

So far I have just loved Danny tonight - he is my absolute favorite in the competition.

I thought Lil was great - I can't believe how hard the judges were on her. I also thought she was gorgeous in that dress.

I think the judges are really critical of the girls. I really wanted more from Matt - I don't think he has bloomed yet - and I don't want him to go home before he does. And I agree with whoever said earlier that they like Anoop best if they aren't looking at him :cool:

kris is hot! He did so well tonight. I had to vote for him. Also loved danny and allison. Allison is my favorite!!! I only let myself vote for three tonight.

Also liked Scott. I thought lil was pretty good but not as good as celine. And I thought matt did better than the judges said. I really like megans voice but she keeps picking the wrong songs. I hope she doesn't go home but she might this week. I think she's a good singer with a unique voice...just needs the right songs.

Am not a fan of Adam at all. Don't like the high pitched screaming. Also do not like anoop and hope he goes home this week

I absolutely LOVED Adam, Kris and Allison tonight! Those 3 rocked the house tonight! Scott was horrible in my opinion and I'm a HUGE fan of Billy Joel. Kris uped his game tonight, thought he blew that song out of the water!! Adam is just in a league of his own multi-talented!!!
Megan needs to go to broadway just has that type of voice, she wasn't good tonight. Loved Danny too....my top 4 in my opinion should be Adam, Kris, Allison and Danny.

I like Matt but he was soooooooooooooo off key tonight! Being tone deaf myself helps me hear the notes and UGH he was sooooooooo off key tonight and should be in the bottom 3 this week but shouldn't have last week.
No one can touch Adam's vocal range...but Kris really showed me tonight that he can almost reach Adam's vocal range...

Adam, Danny and Kris were all great tonight. Allison's vocals were great also but that ugly, ugly outfit she had on was horrible. It took so much away from her performance.

I like Danny too but tonight Adam has my vote. He is so original. Just love him. Allison is getting annoying to me. She seems very cocky . She's only 16. I don't like the way she is acting. She should sing to a younger crowd. She is singing like she is this big pop star already. Her voice is great but there is something about her I personally don't like.
