| Tina, I'm just seeing this now. I'm going to sign the Petition. He does NOT deserve to be back in the NFL.

| Michael Vick deserves nothing! Get a job like any other person who has to find a way to make a living! That is no excuse, "It's all he knows how to do" Poor U. Who cares, wash cars, flip hamburger's etc. He had it all and choose his fate as far as I'm concerned. No, he should not be allowed to return to the NFL. I voted! The majority of his dogs found loving homes. If he did not get caught they would still be suffering or dead! |

| Thank you for posting this. I first thought that surely he wouldn't be allowed back in but money talks and really nothing surprises me anymore.

The same goes for other celebs (just because someone brought it up earlier) I don't think they should be rewarded for the negative attention they get with DUI's. they should all get treated the same way anyone else would. If I got busted for dog fighting and animal cruelty, went to prison, then got out, I know I wouldn't be able to go back to working in the preschool I worked at.

He got and is getting what he deserves, fines, jail time, loss of property, a tarnished reputation, fired from his job and loss of his income from endorsements. Which is exactly what he deserves. If you feel that strongly about it, boycott the team that signs him, or boycott the NFL altogether. | ||

| I signed the petition and have passed it on to everyone of my contacts. Michael Vick came from nothing and was given the world but instead of leading by example he decided to throw it all away. His deplorable behavior is so much farther reaching than just his dog fighting conviction. He was given opportunities that so many dream about. Instead of embracing his God given talents and what life offered he instead decided it would be better to be disrespectful to his fans, test positive for drug use, have numerous children by multiple women and his felonious activities are just the final icing on his party. Because of these behavior he lost many very lucrative endorsement contracts and continued on this path until ultimately he single handedly drove his career into the ground with his dog fighting conviction. He managed to do all of this in a matter of just a few short year and is now a bankrupt felon. We should feel sorry or take pity on him? I have not one ounce of pity or sympathy for this horrible man.

I have to agree with Bamafan121s here. While I DO NOT like Michael Vick , quite frankly I detested him as a person long before he did what he did, but after he has served his sentence in accordance with our laws his debt to society is considered paid. The problem is that with most crimes after the convicted have served their sentence and are released , both the person and the community know what kind of job they will qualify to hold. If you are a convicted felon you can't become FBI agent and carry a weapon . If you are a sex offender you can't work with children . In Michael Vick's case the NFL is a sports league and the only way he would be permanently banned was if he was convicted of gambling and personal monetary gain , his plea agreement made sure that was not the case.

I know he served his time, but I still think it would be rewarding him in a way by allowing him to go right back into the NFL. I just think things like that shouldn't be taken as lightly as they are. Personally I have no interest in football, I think it is boring, so I don't watch it either way. But I am not just looking at it as one person in one career field, he isn't the first celeb to do something apalling, I think when any of them do something that disgusting they should lose their "on top of the world" social status.
