Petition to keep Micheal Vick out of the NFL Anyone who feels that Michael Vick should not return to the NFL please sign this petiton. I personally do not think he deserves to be a role model for children. This just my opinion. All of us being dog owners probably feel the same about him. But if not please I do not want this to turn ugly. I am just letting you know this petition is out there. Thanks. Ban Michael Vick from the NFL-Permanently - The Petition Site |
Sign it and added my two cents too! |
I signed! |
Thank you so much for posting this! It would sadden me if this man gets out of jail and just goes back into the NFL like nothing happened. |

Thank you for this post!!! Can it also go in the main post so more people see this?? I can't even look at him. Makes me so mad :mad::mad: |
Ya know, I from what I gather, online petitions are essentially worthless because there is no way to verify their validity....which makes sense... snopes.com: Internet Petitions Hmmm...I definately would never support any team that decided to add him to their roster (please don't go to Minnesota, please don't go to Minnesota), but for players, the NFL is their job. Should he not be allowed to have a job after he is released? That is a very tricky, thought provoking situation there...I can see both sides to the situation. |
Given I'm a Football fan (Ravens fan to be exact :D) ...I didn't like Michael Vick even before he did what he did...after what he did I REALLY can't stand him. I will sign the petition but I think Michael Vick will be back in football after he gets released ( probably early) . The NFL cares about football and making money more than anything or any one person in it .They also have a track record for pushing the past aside , so I don't think any petition to keep him out has a shot...It's all about $$$ and he did and will make them money because sadly not many people Will remember or care what he has done as long as he can play :( JMO |
I have to say, I was in Atlanta a few months ago and it was very odd to see people...LOTS of people...walking around still wearing Vick jerseys. Funny thing was though, you could go into the stores and they were all like 75% off. :p |

Now, do I think he should have served more time - yes! Do I think he shouldn't be a role model for anyone - yes! Do I think he should be kept from earning a living - no! Not anymore than any other criminal out there. And, if football is his way of 'earning a living", and all he is trained for, what else would people have him do? Like you I can see both sides. |

Celebrities in general get off way too easy for things they do. |
The b@stard Can get a job at mcdonalds just like anybody else. Or get a job as a waiter. If it were anybody else, besides a celeb and they couldnt go back to there old job, That is what they would have to do. WHy should this man be any different? I think, his job should be as a guy who trains attack dogs. Only he doesnt get to wear any equipment. This man better hope and pray I never go to where he is located. Because if i ever came in contact with him, he would KNOW what it is like to suffer. |
I'm not saying that he couldn't get a job somewhere else...of course he could. But bottom line is, he is more than likely going to be working somewhere.... I personally don't want to see him back in the NFL either, probably for all the same reasons as the rest of you, but he's served his time and is going to have to work somewhere now. Logically, I know that it's not my place to dictate how he earns a living and who can and can't employ him. I fail to see how he 'got off too easy' or even if he did, how that relates to where he works now. |

I tend to agree here. A lot of people do illegal, immoral, or unethical things everyday, but they still keep their jobs. Celebs have affairs all the time that break up happy homes, and ruin childrens lives in the process which to me (sorry to offend) is worse than this, yet they are hailed as celebrities and people say it's not their business to judge. Now because it involves the lives of animals it's different? I would rather this man work than live off of my tax dollars thats for sure. I have the choice to not be a fan. When they start perminantly removing players for committing adultry or domestic violence or drunk driving I may be more apt to side with this. Currently there is no moral standard for celebrities. In fact, the less moral you are, the better it seems. I don't like the guy, I think he is a sick individual, but unless they are going to remove half of all sports players for every unethical or immoral thing they did, I cannot see the point in this. |
Very good point MindieRose. I didn't even think about it like that, but that's a very interesting concept. |
