I have to agree with Bamafan121s here. While I
DO NOT like Michael Vick , quite frankly I detested him as a person long before he did what he did, but after he has served his sentence in accordance with our laws his debt to society is considered paid.
The problem is that with most crimes after the convicted have served their sentence and are released , both the person and the community know what kind of job they will qualify to hold. If you are a convicted felon you can't become FBI agent and carry a weapon . If you are a sex offender you can't work with children . In Michael Vick's case the NFL is a sports league and the only way he would be permanently banned was if he was convicted of gambling and personal monetary gain , his plea agreement made sure that was not the case.
