| I swear by Weight Watchers. I first did Weight Watchers back in 2003 (as a High School Senior) I weight 168 pounds when I started in January, by April I was down to 135. I was able to eat the same things just in smaller portions. I went to college and lost more weight, but after graduating in May 2007, I moved home and gained back some weight. So I started Weight Watchers again in September 2008, I was 147 pounds when I started, last night was my 9th week and I weigh 133 (14 pound loss). My goal is to be 123-125 and I'm hoping to get there by Thanksgiving. It's not a fad diet, you learn portion control and lose weight steadily so you don't gain it all back at once. Not sure of any good diets for a kick fix, but if you are lookign for long-term results, I highly recommend the Weight Watchers program!

| Donating YT 500 Club Member | I also did weight watchers and lost 12 lbs. It really was easy. However, that was 2 years ago and guess what, back to fat! No one's fault but mine. Living in Louisiana, we celebrate with alcohol and food. Beer is a major part of our (my family & friends) celebrations! I find cutting down calories and exercising helps, but I am not always motivated to do that. I will try the Birmingham Diet to lose some weight and then I keep watch and slow down on the eating and drinking to maintain, but it is hard. If I see I am gaining too much, I diet for a while. Good Luck! |

| Donating YT 11K Club Member | Have you heard about the alternate day diet? I saw it on the morning show. On it you eat your regular calories one day and the next you eat really low calories. I heard it works. Right now tho i am just trying the old fashioned eat right, work out lol

| ONE OF THE COOKS THAT I WORKED WITH IN VEGAS, WAS VERY OVERWEIGHT. HE WAS LIKE THAT HIS WHOLE LIFE. WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS BEING IN AN ALL PROTEIN DIET, HE LOST ALL THE EXTRA WEIGHT, WHICH WAS A LOT. YOU DO HAVE TO INCORPORATE OTHER CARBS IN YOUR DIET EVENTUALLY, BUT THAT IS DONE SLOWLLY, AFTER THE WEIGH IS OFF. ALL DIETS HAVE PROS AND CONS. ALSO, NOTICE ,HOW MOST SOCIAL BUTTERFLIES ARE FIT. tHE REASON WHY IS BECAUSE GOING OUT (PLACES OTHER THAN RESTAURANTS) MEETING PEOPLE, LAUGHING AND MENDLING, MAKES YOU FOCUS IN OTHER THINGS OTHER THAN DIETS; ELEVATES YOUR PLASIVO, AND IS AN ANTIDEPRESANT.

| I went on a gluten-free diet because I am sensitive to the gluten in wheat products like bread/cereal/noodles. I lost 16 lbs in 3 months not even trying. My doctor says its a healthier diet anyways. Gluten can keep you bloated and make IBS worse. I have heard from other people that it can also help you lose weight. Just replace wheat products with rice/corn/potato products. I weigh now what I did before I had my son. But, my measurements are smaller. I took out my old clothes and they were loose on me even though I weigh the same I did back then. I thought that was pretty cool. ![]() Just make sure you don't do a crash diet like the cabbage thing. That will ravage your digestive system (diarreah, gas) and make you lose nutrients that you need to stay healthy. It just makes you lose a bunch of water, even some you need. Then as soon as you have one lick of sodium, the water returns quickly. Be patient with yourself. Eating healthier is more important that eating less.
