I think the parent's did it not the puppy !

How anyone could not hear the screams is beyond me. If he wasnt screaming, I would wonder if he had sustained some sort of injury before that or if he was severely dehydrated and too tired to cry.

I don't like jumping to conclusions but this has occured to me. It just doesn't make sense that they did not hear the babies screams and cries.

Is it possible they did it and are now trying to cover it up? I can't help but to think this.

I'm hoping they are brought up on charges for neglect. it would be career suicide for anyone involved if they don't. Oklahoman's have had so many children dead this summer due to neglect, to push us further would be a very bad move.

i hate to say but i think its some kind of cover up to

and i know that you arent supposed to judge anyone much less just by looking at them..but they didnt look like...they had every thing together..and im not the only one thinking that im sure...

i have a 7 month old and a 3 year old..i have a 2 yr yorkie female, 6 old mean yorkie mix..LOL (she doesnt like our 3 yr old) a 8 month old male yorkie and a 6 month old golden retriever and i never thought of this being a problem i leave the room for different things off and on all day but i can always hear my kids and 9 out of 10 i can see them and my dogs have run of the house..not the golden way to big...and the dogs seem to KNOW the difference between me and my husband and the 3 yr old and 7 mo old..butter ball the golden will jump and nip all over the 3 yr old and then right after calmly walk to the baby and lick his hands very sweetly then go back to jumpin on the 3 year old

our mean yorkie mix is very vocal about our 3 year old but has never never bit him...she just tries to scare him and she would bite if she felt she needed to but she knows they are kids, little humans and the dogs are very good to them

i just dont get this..i know dogs go after dirty diapers..but wow i dont think they would even be able to attack the baby, get it out of the swing and bite into the diaper and stuff

oh and when babies cry it doesnt matter if you are at another end of the house you can still hear them..i can hear neighbors babies cry sometimes..

and i totally agree with the person who said some humans need to be fixed .

another thing i was thinking..

supposedly the father of the baby & the grandpa, had both left the house that morning.. it very well could be the mom has severe postpartum depression! & ON TOP of that is way too young and naive to have a good judgement of things and raising a child(her mom was probably not a good role model either!

) Seeing a picture of the grandma.. puffing on her cig as her daughter was being taken to the hospital to be checked.. she was just standing there not showing ANY (sad) emotion

.. and im honestly not one to judge(really.. it is one of my pet peeves..)BUT she did not look too good & had many physical signs of drug abuse. just another thought.. not saying any detail..(like what went on in the house and how everything exactly panned out.. but i most definitely blame the mom.. and also the grandma! she should be smart enough to know her young daughter may not know how to care for this baby.(especially if postpartum depression DID play a role..)

so sad and it is so tragic this had to be the result.. poor baby-poor doggie!!

have just read this thread - its heartbreakingly sad

and i agree with all who have said that the puppy shouldnt have been euthanised before a full investigation was carried out) in cases like this it seems that the thinking is - destroy dog, problem solved. there was something similar a while back here in the UK and all the newspaper headlines screamed: DEVIL DOGIMO there is no such thing as a 'bad dog' only a bad owner - and in this case bad parents (and grandparents)

That's the EXACT thing that went through my mind the day I saw the clip of the kid-parents and the grandmother looking snarly.
Such a heartbreaker for the baby and the puppy. The pug looked like it had puppies not too long ago.
