| Donating YT 7000 Club Member | yorkiesmiles - I remember it, too, I believe. As far as I remember, she was playing the piano and I think she messed up a chord or the words or something when she first started and she started again.

| Megan, thanks for validating me! Glad to know I'm not loosing my mind -- that is why I thought it was so weird when she said whe had never done that before I need to see the video from the other week - they need to show them together

Yes, it happened when she sang "Let It Be" while playing the piano. (during one of the "Beatles" weeks) and it was during a 'live' performance because all the AI shows are "live". So I agree with yorkiesmiles.

| Monday, Thanks!! So how does she get off saying she hadn't done it before, and no one calls her on it! One more reason she should be gone. Not because she messed up - but because she put on this poor me act. I'm hoping she or Jason goes this week - not Syesha - because that girl has stepped it up every week

Whereas Jason massacred one of the best songs ever written. Brooke may be a sweet girl, but her time has come. Neil Diamond this Tuesday, a bunch of great songs to choose from (IMHO).

| Ok - now that I've got my Brooke question answered ![]() I've got to share something with all you AI fans and see what you think about this?? Do you think AI is pulling a fast one?? A week or so ago, I posted about dialidol.com - which has some program for redialing & voting & predicts who is going home. Anyway, they also tend to give a commentary about how things turned out after the results show. This is what has been on their site the last 2 weeks DialIdol.com - Measuring the busy signal. Thursday April 24, 2008 Week w/6 (to 5) Idols Comments As you know, there wasn't much of a prediction this week with David Cook being the only definitive prediction. Nevertheless, Carly, who sat at the bottom of DialIdol's predictions, was predicted to be in danger of being voted off - and she was, so DialIdol is back on track this week. Or is it? Again this week American Idol only decided to commit to a bottom two(/three) – never disclosing who actually got the fewest number of votes and instead stated “Carly you are leaving us tonight.” I personally think the 30 million viewers who watch every week deserve less ambiguity – but that's just me. Sunday April 20, 2008 # I looked over the DialIdol call data from the last two weeks. Here are my observations. * During the week with eight Idols (when Michael Johns got voted off) I found at least three different dialers who fit this criteria. o They were dialing for Michael Johns and someone else. They busy percent for everyone else was was low but the busy percent for Michael Johns was 100%. + This probably was not accurate data and helped to inflate Michael Johns DialIdol score. This may account for the disparity between the results and the predictions. * During the week with seven Idols (Kristy Lee Cook got voted off) I found nothing that stuck out as being odd. What I did find was data that more strongly suggested that of DialIdol's bottom four, Brooke had the lowest prediction and Kristy had the highest. o This data, combined with the fact that Ryan Seacrest never specifically stated that Kristy Lee Cook got the fewest number of votes has me wondering if she really did? + Ryan Seacrest said this “After the nationwide vote the person staying with us is Brooke. Kristy Lee Cook leaves us tonight on American Idol.” # So did she get the fewest votes? Or did the producers decide that keeping the real lowest vote getter made better financial sense? Or did Kristy Lee herself simply decide to leave? * I am not trying to imply that Kristy Lee didn't get the fewest number of votes. What I am trying to do is point out that American Idol's vague results were even more vague this week. I for one would like someone from American Idol to go on record as stating that Kristy Lee Cook got the fewest votes last week and for this ambiguity to never happen again.

| So, I finally got around to reading some of the chat forums on the AI site and apparently Jason Castro was very sick this past week. Someone said a throat infection, someone else said pneumonia.... not sure what's true but that would have a lot to do with his performance on Tuesday. The judges have always mentioned on previous shows when a singer is sick, giving them kind of an explanation as to why they might not have done so well but not one of them mentioned Jason being so sick the day before performing.

| Thought the show was good tonight! David A finally gained a little credit in my book! Ive always thought his voice was amazing, but I felt he lacked talent as far as his performance (dancing, opening eyes, etc). But tonight I think he delivered an all around great performance as a whole. He is really working hard and listening to criticism and I admire that! Good job young buck!! David C still keeps me in awe....he IS the IDOL whether he wins or not. Jason, time to go.....Brooke, shoulda been gone and here is my Syesha theory!! I think Simon said tonight that he thought she was going home cuz he knows that the voting at this point is BS!! SO....he said that so people will disagree and vote for Syesha! Thus keeping her in the competition which she so deserved after her last two weeks performances!! So good thinking Simon!! Cuz there is NO WAY Simon in his right mind can say that to her and still support Brooke and Jasons less than good enough performances! Again.....JMO!!

| Ok seriously, what is Paula on???????? I missed the first 10 mins., but then I tune in, one of them sang and then she was talking about how somebody did a bad job on both songs and they're like, he only sang one song. And she looked so confused. Can't she be normal for a one hour program??????????

This is just my humble opinion, I have not been on much about this season. No one really has knocked my socks off. After Michael Johns left, I felt talent was not an object. Jason still sounds as he should be singing at a campfire. And I hope he gets sent there tonight. Syesha is definitely in her element when she does show tunes. Brooke may sell albums but her performances will be empty, she needs show presence. David C. did a smart ting picking an unknown song so he could not be compared to anything. And he is just a amazing singer. David A. chose a safe song with "Coming to America" -- He did not rock it, but he did a good job. With time and maturity, he will do nicely. Melodic voice and he will do better when he ditches the "stage dad". IMHO, Jason should be packing his bags for Music Camp. And Brooke will follow next week. Or visa versa. But neither will be in the top 3 (as far as I am concerned) And let's not forget where is Taylor Hicks today? And Chris Daughtry? Rocking the night away! Selling out concerts, etc.
