I am beyond annoyed about Brooke going home. I mean, I loved her, but I am irritated that she went home and Jason is still there. Sorry to all the Jason-lovers, but I've never liked him...and I don't think I will. I was expecting Jason to go this week, Brooke to go next week, Syesha to go the week after, and then it would be a toss up between David A. and David C. - I have no clue who will win. I agree with Meggers! I wanted Jason to go home last night, then Brooke and then Syesha. Let the 2 David's battle it out ... although in my opinion, David Cook ROCKS!! I hope he wins.

*He has been on two mission trips with his church to Russia.

*When asked by IDOL interviewers, what his goals in life are, he responded, "To be a loving father, faithful husband, and servant of all." WOW

*When asked what he liked to do in his spare time, he replied, "...I get a lot of joy out of doing for other people, because at the end of the day, if you've only done stuff for yourself, what joy is it?"

*When asked what he would do with his first big paycheck, he said, "uh...probably pay off my parent's house...their bills, and stuff"

*During the judges' critiques, while most contestants try to defend themselves in front of the judges, Jason graciously accepts the criticism and smiles respectfully, even though the judges can be very cruel.

*Jason was contacted by Rick Warren's church, (author of Purpose Driven
Life) outside of LA, Easter week, and invited to worship with their congregation since he couldn't be at his own church, and of course, he went.

*Earlier in the Idol season, Jason was asked about his faith by a few of the contestants and therefore gave birth to a Bible Study among them.

*He grew up playing the drums and when he went off to college, he taught himself to play the guitar, and has written several songs.

*When he auditioned for IDOL last August, he had only sung 5 times in public.

See? I didn't know ANY of this stuff, but knew there was a reason I liked him. Good report. The "only 5 times in public" makes my point regarding his social skills. He's so out of his element. Plus, because he has such great perspective on the real important things, it comes off as he doesn't really care deeply about AI.

No, he's not the best singer. But I just picture him coming to my house to take my daughter out on a date with his hands stuffed in his pockets shrugging at every question. So cute.

Thank you so much for that report. I knew there was something special about Jason. Even if he does not win he is still a star in my eyes and he should go far in life. I loved the first song he sang Tuesday night. I think both Davids out sing and out preform him but there is something about Jason's voice that is unique and soothing.

I happen to really like Jason's voice...some will think I am tone deaf, I am sure...I will admit that Jason's calmness and his attitude that he doesn't really care does bug me sometimes. But maybe with all the things that is going on in this country concerning GOD being taken out of everything that maybe this will be a wakeup call that America does care and sometimes its not all about singing its about being a good person, a good heart and keeping whats important in life into perspective that Jason should be the next American Idol. What a good example of that. I know I know this is a singing contest but then they really should not have named it American Idol. In times like this American Idol seems to have more meaning than who Americans vote for......jmo....Have a great day everyone..

I think it is that calmness is what I love about him. American Idol is not the end all to Jason, he can take it or leave it. There are more important things in life for Jason. He is precious and we can leave alot from this young man. $$$ seems to be God to so many today and they wonder why they are so unhappy but he seems to already found what is important in life. JMO

Getting off the "Jason Topic" (sorry).....but our local news said that one Idol was ready to go home and said "he"....so who could it be and why? I didn't watch the news today, but I will try to watch it tonight....has anyone else heard what this was about? I'm just curious!
