| If there were NO people to work in retail there would be no retail and that would be sad! Im always nice to people who work in retail... I did it for awhile as well. I did have people look down upon me but hey, I think they are just jealous bc it can be a pretty fun job sometimes ... better than sitting behind a computer all day (which is what I do now by the way)

| I've come to the conclusion that manners are not being taught anymore. No one seems to have them I'm sorry about that twit SAHM, doesn't she realize that you STILL have to do everything she does, on top of your paying job?!?! Does she think that you have a magic wand or something ?![]() Hugs, and let it just roll off your back. People that are that rude are NOT worth your time.

| I feel for you. I worked as a Medical Assistant for the past 6 years. The abuse we get over things we have no control over is amazing. Service industry (anything working with the public) folks are treated like crap, and we're usually paid crap too. The good ones really make the job worthwhile but those few "bad apples" really do spoil the bunch. thats the main reason I left that work to go back to something else "behind the scenes". I tell you what though, never having worked with people before - it really gave me insight and made me treat others very nicely now, more so than prior....because I know ya'll go thru crap. People can be so rude & nasty. Some were downright abusive and we just have to take it. They probably know we have to take it that so thats why they treat us like that, makes them feel bigger. When I'd dwell on how someone treated me my boss would say "don't rent them any space."... meaning dont let them take any space in your mind & thoughts, they aren't worth it. But it's hard sometimes. |

| I don't know why you had to go and make it a stay at home mom over working mom issue but I have been both and I have had 3jobs and been a single mom and let me tell you ... I am now a stay at home mother of 4 and BY FAR and away being a stay at home mom is much much more taxing. There is never a break... you do the same things everyday... and you can ever walk away to the break room to calm down or go out back and have a smoke. I have done both and while I feel what I do now has its rewards and I am EXTREMELY grateful to my husband for living less than we would have to so I can.... some days I miss going to work...talking to adults... having a second to take a "potty break" by myself.... or not have something attached to my titty all day! That doesn't take away from the bad days you have or hard work you do. I have been a waitress, sales girl, customer service rep, bank teller, Xerox sales rep, radio sales girl, food service sales girl...lol... I have just about done it all... and people are a-holes... but there are good people out there... I just don't get to talk to them anymore...lol |

| I hate the way that some people treat me just because I am a dog groomer. I cant tell you how many people talk down to me each day. Someone did tell me once that a groomer is not a professional job. I play with dogs all day how could that be a hard job (according to them). I showed them the scars on my arm and hands from "playing" with the dogs who had bit me. Last week I had a woman who brought her pup in to be groomed ask me how many dogs I had and when I replied with 6 she said Eww your house must smell. It took every thing I had not to scream at her. I said no as a matter of fact my house is very clean. I would NEVER say that to another person. I just hate being treated like a peice of crap and some of the crap that treats me that way Im sure I probably have a bigger pay check then them lol and deep down inside I want to laugh at them but being the nice person I am you have to bite your tounge several times I day. I would kill to just say to one person each day "YOU F'in MORON"

| WOO!! You say it girl! I have known so many people in retail and the service industry, and they all say the exact same thing! People don't know the kind of customers that are out there!! I've worked in a restaurant since I was 15. I've seen a guy light his wallet on fire, waited on lung transplant patients, TONS of people that don't speak English, many, many drunks, perverts, abusive husbands, drugged out grandmas, people that walk out on their tabs... the list goes on and on. So you just let it out, Jamie! You gotta vent if you wanna go back the next day and do it all over again!

I undertand about not getting out to talk to people cuz when I have vacation I am actually gald to get out to talk to coworkers but not to go back to work. I usually don't get out much that week for doing all the projects there is no time for usuallyWe could afford for me to stay at home now but both my boys are in school now so there is not as much point now. There was no way when they were younger. OH well the good part is they stay with my mom | |
