I feel for you. I worked as a Medical Assistant for the past 6 years. The abuse we get over things we have no control over is amazing. Service industry (anything working with the public) folks are treated like crap, and we're usually paid crap too. The good ones really make the job worthwhile but those few "bad apples" really do spoil the bunch. thats the main reason I left that work to go back to something else "behind the scenes". I tell you what though, never having worked with people before - it really gave me insight and made me treat others very nicely now, more so than prior....because I know ya'll go thru crap. People can be so rude & nasty. Some were downright abusive and we just have to take it. They probably know we have to take it that so thats why they treat us like that, makes them feel bigger. When I'd dwell on how someone treated me my boss would say "don't rent them any space."... meaning dont let them take any space in your mind & thoughts, they aren't worth it. But it's hard sometimes. |
