| I always do the same thing with making way too much. I am in the kitchen with my laptop on YT making homemade soup too. It was cold her last night so figured it was a perfect day for soup and homemade rolls.

| That sounds so good!! My mom taught me to make vegetable soup. I make beef vegetable, because I'm a big time carnivore. I might go get out my soup pot now and make some soup. Not sure if I want vegi or Chicken noodle.

| I always freeze veggie soup, too! It's nice to come in from work and stick it in the microwave. I just put a beef roast with potatoes, carrots and onions in the slow cooker. I mixed up a batch of sour dough bread and am waiting for it to rise. I think I'll cook butter beans and then my dinner will be complete.

| I love homemade vegetable soup! I haven't made it in awhile though. How do you freeze yours? I have used the freezer rubbermaid type containers, but they still get ice crystals in it...maybe I should put a piece of parchment on top of it or something? Someone once mentioned freezing soup in ziplock freezer bags and then just placing the bags in a pot of boiling water...anyone try that?

| Oh, what a great idea!!! I'm going to go make some. I have tons of left over veggies in the freezer. I save all the left overs from dinner and put them into containers in the freezer, when I have enough I usually make soup....thanks for the reminder. I really need to us them up!!! Off to the kitchen to defrost!!! |

| I freeze soup the same way. Works great and takes up much less room in the freezer.
