I dont know about ab lounger but I would highly recommend just using one of those yoga balls. I cant think of the name of them right now but they are awesome. Just do crunches on it and you will work several muscles at once. And the balls are cheap. My old personal trainer had me and my husband do almost all of our workout on those things. Highly recommend.

Yoga balls work great for crunches too but I dont know if that will put any stress on your back. they are pretty cheap so you might want to give the ball a try before spending the cash on a machine. | |

I myself tried it - won't recommend something to my clients without trying it (well, most things) and my pants got loose at the waist even though I didn't loose any weight at all. Weird feeling... You obviously know a lot about this subject - and I am sure we could talk about it forever - maybe some day we'll meet and get the chance

| thanks for all the responses and advice.. i actually have those yoga balls, but those too hurt my back too much because that's where all my weight goes when i'm trying to balance on that thing.. (which my balance sucks!!) lol.. My boyfriend is into body buidling and i'm trying to get toned actually.. so i know i must do a lot of cardio, and I Kelly, just like you.. Don't really break a sweat even though i run for hours.. but my heartrate goes up so that's good.. i'm hoping i can find something to help tone my muscles.. so i can reveal my hot flat summer abs LoL |

I was having alot of back problems and I had a bad problem with hunching over (and I am only 24!Yikes) so I had to go to a physical therapist and she had me doing a lot of different excersizes on the ball for my back. You defiently have to make sure you have the right size ball or it will work the wrong areas and overall not do what its supposed to be doing. But for me it was one of the best excersize items.
