Just to let y'all know, my bf and I are staying in a room just by ourselves, and I'm only bringing Kobi. (Was originally planning to bring Kiwi too, but I know she won't travel well.) Anyway, so if one of you wanted to "say" your dog was staying in my room, since I'm already paying the $50 fee per night "UP TO TWO DOGS" then, someone can save $100 or $150 for the weekend (depending how many nights you're staying), if you're interested...

I already told the hotel I'll have two dogs (since I planned on taking Kiwi when I made the reservation.) So if someone wants to do this, let me know, and I'd be happy to dogsit for the weekend

...only kidding...but they could be our "guest" as far as reservations go.

I thought one fee would cover all nights. If that's the case, I'm going to definitely have to rethink who I'm bringing as I was planning on bringing all five. And we are staying in a room with 3 other furbabies. And we are staying 3 nights, that's $375 in dog fees alone, just for me.

I just checked my contract with the hotel, and it reads "$50.00 non refundable deposit for up to 2 dogs per room. 3rd dog or more is an additional $50.00 per dog." It doesn't say anything about this fee being per night, so I take that to mean that it is for the entire stay. Does anyone else read it differently? I could definitely argue with the hotel if they gave us any hassel on this, as it doesn't clearly state "per day" in the contract. So...no worries. The fee is NOT per day

Another thing to note about the contract with the hotel...it states that "thirty days prior to your arrival date shall be the 'Cutoff Date/Reservations Due Date'. At [this date], all room nights, which have not been reserved as described above, will be deemed to be room nights that your Group will not use and they will be released and returned to the Hotel's general inventory." What this means is that anyone who hasn't reserved their hotel room by May 19th may be outta luck, as all rooms they have set aside for our group will no longer be held for us after that date. So...even if you're thinking about going...call now to make your reservation, and if you change your mind later, you can cancel up to 24-hours prior to check-in without penalty.

Hi Everyone! I just took over Angi (Rusty'sMomma) spot and am coming to the KC Meetup!! I will be rooming with Misty and Tina. I have been wanting to sign up but I am a flight attendant and will be traveling space available and I didn't know if I wanted to deal with it!! But I figured I should go for it!! When I saw Angi's post I figured it was a sign to go and I am very excited to meet all of you and your furbutts!! I will be bringing Brooke! All my other pups will be very jealous!!

Sorry about that, on her thread it states she is hoping to fill 50-60 bags. When we first talked about, (I was going to help her with it, but got extremely busy with orders), we were talking 50 bags, so I just still had that stuck in my head.

Everyone and the hotels are OK with this....I'm an event planner and trust me...I've called many times hotels 24 hours prior to cancel a room with no problems whatsoever. I would make the reservation even if you are slightly thinking about attending since you can always cancel a room vs. getting a room after the cut-off date!!
