I will be e-mailing specific times to the e-mail addresses I have on file for everyone. I have a million things to get done for the meet-up still, but I hope to e-mail out specifics within the next week. I don't want to post specifics here, as anyone can see this thread, and I don't think EVERYONE needs to know the details of where we'll be and when unless they're involved in the meet. We want to keep everyone as safe as possible.

I'm not sure exactly where yet, as we will have to scout out a good area when we arrive. I checked out the park last December to make sure it would be good for our meet, but there was snow on the ground, and it made it very difficult to see an exact good spot. For those coming from the hotel, we'll make sure the shuttle driver knows exactly where we're at. I wish I could tell you more specifically, but with me in CA, it's hard to know what will be a good spot until I get there. We'll make sure we're easy to get to since y'all will be carrying x-pens ! I'll see what I can figure out ahead of time and try to e-mail out more specifics when I send out the schedule via e-mail.

Yep...the hotel is shuttling us over, and I'll make sure they know exactly where we've decided to meet. For those who'd prefer to drive over, I'll try to get specific cross streets for you by the time I e-mail out the schedule soon. I'm going to plan for a "start time" for the meet-up, but then people can just filter in as they arrive. We'll just keep adding x-pens to the circle as more people and babies arrive. I plan to be there for 2-3 hours, so it will give people time to get checked into the hotel and make their way to the park. I'm sure the shuttle wouldn't hold all of us at once anyway.

Yep ! And for the record, the hotel provides free shuttle for anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel, so you could use the shuttle to go other places as well if you'd prefer not to walk. They are fine with having our dogs on the shuttle.

I've reviewed the list of everyone who ordered shirts, and it looks like we should all be at the meet-up at the park on Friday (other than a "hopefully" from Dee and Cyndi and a "probably" from Patty...do you guys know for sure if you'll be able to make it to the park Friday?). Some wanted to wait to take the group pic on Saturday since we have some only coming for the day Saturday, and I think that's a great idea, but since not everyone ordered a shirt, I think maybe a group pic would look nicer if we were all in our own clothes, so that we didn't have half and half. So...I'm thinking we'll wear our meet-up shirts on Friday and take random pics at the park (that will also make it easier to identify each other), and then we'll each wear "our own" clothes on Saturday, and we'll take an official group pic then while everyone is there. What do you guys think about that?

I know of a few people that will be vending, but do we know who, and how many will be vending on Saturday? I have been saving up for some serious shopping!

That would be fine with me!!......whatever works for ya.... but will I be getting my shirt(s) before Friday? I don't know if I'll be seeing Des before the park "meet & greet". We are planning on getting there on Thursday so there is a good possibility we see her before going to the park.

Hmmm...good point. I know Des was hoping to ship them out to us ahead of time, but I'm not sure if she's heard yet when she'll be receiving them and able to ship. If she doesn't get them in time, she's going to fly them to KC with her and use our S&H fees to pay for the extra luggage since the airlines are charging now . Maybe she can get on here and let us know when she expects to have the shirts and if we'll be able to wear them on Friday.

There is still PLENTY of room for vendors if anyone else would like to sign-up to vend still! So far, our lists of vendors includes:

I am so excited. i more week and we pick up our RV (the 16th). We have to drive to Redlands to pick it up (about 2 hours) then drive back home, pack up and will leave that day. YEA!

I'm not sure I will be able to come to the park on Friday. What time do y'all think you will be there? We are trying to work in seeing all the friends and relatives on this short trip!!!! I know we have to go to Weston (????) on Friday for lunch with friends. Maybe we could stop by on the way back.

We will be accepting new registrations and changes to existing registrations through THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 13TH. After that, registration will be closed (including those making changes to existing registrations), as the hotel will be charging my checking account for all the food and anticipated expenses at that time, and I need to have all the final numbers figured out by then. Not to mention, I can't finish up things like name tags, the list of attendees, etc. until registrations closes . That means those who need to sell their registrations still have 5 days to do so without forfeiting your registration fee. Hopefully there are still people out there who'd like to come and haven't registered yet . It's going to be a GREAT time!!!! There are several registrations for sale, so please let me know if you're interested in going, and I'll put you in touch with those selling their registrations. Also let me know if you'd like to go and can't afford the registration fee.

Given that we will have to submit final numbers for food in advance and I've received a lot of concerns from people not wanting to allow open registration since that leaves room for letting "bag guys" in amongst our babies, we're going to take the safest route and NOT allow any registrations at the door - EVEN FOR YTers! I hate to exclude our fellow members, but anyone could show up with a Yorkie and say they're someone from this site, and we wouldn't know the difference. We have to remember all these threads are public info for anyone searching the internet, and I don't want to be responsible for anyone "slipping" into the meet who shouldn't be there. Also, it's hardly fair to those who registered and paid in advance to let others just show up at the door and participate! We will each have to be on our top lookout to make sure all those mingling with our babies are hotel staff or wearing one of our name tags (which I will provide to you upon arrival), and hopefully we'll have a safe and enjoyable meet !!!

As you know, for some additional fun, we will hold a raffle drawing during dinner on Saturday night. - Advance raffle tickets cost $2 each, with 1 free ticket for every 5 tickets purchased. See examples below.

Remember - you get to choose the prizes you're trying to win...meaning that we're going to have "jars" in front of each prize, and you drop your raffle tickets in the jar for each prize you're interested in. That means if you're lucky enough to win something - you'll want it! It's not like your name will be drawn for something you aren't interested in or can't use (a boy's outfit if you only have girls, etc.)!!!

You can buy your raffle tickets by sending an e-mail (if paying by check or money order) or PayPal your money to yorkietalkmeetup@yahoo.com. All proceeds at the end of the meet-up will go to a Yorkie rescue group.
