:laugh: Well you still don't know the actual price of the tickets............. well its $520 for me and Mr. Bailey. The airport is like 5 miles from my home....we will be in flight for an hour have one stop for about an hour and be back in flight for 2 or so more......I don't know whats a deal or not LOL is $520 a deal YTers???

Hmmm Not sure if that's a GREAT deal or not.. Last time I Flew to Florida from here it was $136.00 on AA and that was at Easter 2 years ago:eek: It has gone up a lot I would say.
but others that have flown lately may tell you it is a great Deal.. If you go through the air line and not the deal sites do you get a better price?

They usually won't give you the difference. Buy your ticket online on a Tuesday-that's the cheapest day, as a rule. I think -$120 is a deal! Go for it!

No it went down by $120 the tickets are not $120 shoooot I wish LOL They are $520 but they were like $640 like last week.

I know...I meant -$120 = down by $120. I think that's a good deal! Plus, for me, $50 or $60 bucks would be worth it to not have to worry about getting a good deal on tickets...think about it-is it worth a few bucks for your time not to have to keep looking? I know it's $120 now, but it could go back up. I do think late January is a good time to buy tickets though-so maybe hold out for anothe week or two?

That sounds a bit steep to me...from Louisiana to KC??:confused: :eek:

Even from NYC to KC is about $250-$300 each way. (I only fly "non-stop:rolleyes: NO DIVA!!:D )

Have you tried Orbitz.com? I use them all the time. They have wonderful deals! :D :thumbup:

yes, but NYC and KC are both larger cities, and both hubs for certain airlines, which means it's usually cheaper.

Yes I was thinking she may get a better deal from a bigger airport. Worth a Try to look into.. sometimes if you Drive a Hour to a bigger airport you get a Great deal.

Orbitz is ok But I have found if you go right to the airline, Most of the time you get a better deal.

I am such a DORK. How did I not know this was going on? Thank goodness Ms. Kimmie texted and asked if I was going to make it. And in KC... I can't believe it. YAY!!!!

I've already contacted my family that lives there to see if they'll be in town that weekend because we'll stay there to save money, but I'm definitely in for all for all of the activities.

As soon as I hear back from my sister-in-law, I'll be sending in my registration.

Thank you so much to Lisa and everyone else who helped behind the scenes to get this set up.

YT friends (and vendors), here we come!!! :p

I live in a very small city not to mention the ONLY airline they have is Continental :rolleyes: so thats why its soo expensive.....I even compared driving an hour to the other airport (which is still small) but they house 4 airlines...and at the time, I was getting a $500 rate an hour away vs. $640 at my hometown airport.....BUT now that my hometown airport went down its $520 hometown vs $500 (hour away airport) but I may hold off just a little while longer because maybe the hour away airport may decrease their price....

I think you are doing the right thing by weighing your options between the two airports. But I wouldn't hesitate much longer. Once it jumps, there isn't anything you can do but kick yourself for not doing it sooner! :rolleyes:

those prices will probably go up & down several times in the next 6 mths. If you're not signed up for the airlines served by your airport, do it, so you'll be aware immediately of sales. Also, most of the airlines take out newspaper ads when they're having sales. Saying a prayer you can find something resonable. I know how hard that can be - I fly out of the Des Moines, Iowa airport & our prices are not cheap. It really does to have with traffic patterns & competition.
