Maybe we just need to have them reserve more rooms for our party block...I remember for my wedding, the hotel would only reserve a certain number of rooms for us. If those filled up, they would add more, but they didn't want to block off the entire hotel if people weren't calling and reserving rooms...could that be the reason?

I also thought that it's probably a big wedding weekend in KC since it's over a Saturday night, so that may be factoring in as well if they have other events going on that same weekend.

Yea maybe we just need to ask Lisa to book more rooms if she can....

I also agree on maybe another event may be going on that Saturday night...but she didn't mention that they were Sold Out of rooms at the hotel she was just saying that there were only 8 rooms left for the YT meet-up.

You are exactly right Suzy! The hotel is monitoring the number of rooms our group has booked internally, and they will increase or decrease the rooms "assigned" to our group as people make (or don't make) their reservations. When I signed the contract with the hotel, the agreement was that they would hold 40 rooms for us Thursday night (20 King & 20 Queen Doubles), 100 rooms for us Friday night (50 King & 50 Queen Doubles), and 100 rooms for us Saturday night (50 King & 50 Queen Doubles). Then, they later agreed to hold 10 rooms (5 King & 5 Queen Doubles) for us for Sunday night. I'm sure we haven't gone through that many rooms so far, so they must've decreased our allotted rooms when they saw people weren't booking them as quickly as we'd anticipated. If we "run out" of rooms, the hotel should automatically increase our allotted number to accommodate those who haven't made their reservations yet, as long as the hotel still has rooms available at that point! This is why it's imperative that people make their hotel reservations, regardless of whether or not you are ready to pay your registration fee. Remember that you are able to cancel your room with no penalty up to 24-hours prior to check-in, so you do not risk losing ANY money by making your reservations this far in advance, and you guarantee yourself a room that way in case you end up joining us at the meet-up :thumbup: . If anyone calls to book their room and is told there are NO rooms available, please let me know ASAP so I can call the hotel and find out what's going on.

WOO-HOO!! I just reserved my room (finally...PROCRASTINATION at its finest :rolleyes:), and had no problems. The lady said that her sister-in-law and mom both have yorkies, so I told her to let them know to come and to check out YorkieTalk, so we'll see!!!! :p Can't wait to meet all you CrAzY folks in just about 6 months now! :eek:

Yorkiesmiles, it sounds as if our room is becoming party central :D Tell Bubbers and Woxie that they need to put their party clothes on-it sounds like we're in for a doozie! ;)

Well hopefully they will have all the YTers in the same area...one big party!! One whole floor would be good....doors open, dogs running a muck! FUN, FUN, FUN!!! :D

LOL Let's just put pens at either end of the hallway, cover the floor with pee pads, and leave all of our doors open! It would be yorkie madness, LOL!
