Have you checked out ExpressJet? www.xjet.com They have service from a few cities to Kansas City. I will be flying home from New Orleans with them. I use xjet all of the time to fly out to California to see scrapindee. (Of course her husband and fur family too!!!) |

Quick question is it best to sit in the back of the plane?? I was thinking if Bailey was to start crying it would be more of a distraction if I was sitting in the middle or up front...so I wasthinking about booking a seat in the far back or like last row......Does anyone know what is best for traveling with our lil furbabies? |

I usually sit towards the front so it is easier to get onto the plane with the dog carrier. Could also look for rows with more leg room since the carrier will be taking up most of your leg room. If it is a long flight the bathroom placement might be an issue (for you and Bailey). The flight attendents determine whether dogs can come out of their carriers. Does not matter what part of the plane. Does strike up conversations with people around you, but I love talking about my fur babies!!! |

I think they just raised prices again because oil is up to a $100 a barrel. If you belong to any frequent flier programs, make sure you're signed up for the email option. I get email almost every week from Northwest and Midwest, and then occasionally from American, Delta & United. Frequently they have discounts or you hear first when they're having a sale. I would advise joining any frequent flier programs (since they're free) that fly out of your airport, so you know what is going on. Midwest is an excellent airlines & they fly into KC - sometimes I find they have the best price Also, if you already have air miles with a carrier also, look at buying your ticket with miles - that might help |

I think we may have to rent a uhaul for all our stuff, 3 strollers, 2 x-pens, probably about 4 pet carriers, everyone's luggage, furbabies luggage included!!! We're taking Layla's Mom's SUV, but we are filling up the back with doggie beds so the furbabies will be comfy during the drive so we don't want any luggage in the vehicle. We aren't leaving till Monday morning, since it's such a long drive and we didn't want to have to leave to early Sunday. I can't wait!!! |
