They came and took the truck last week (like a thief in the night!

). This was very depressing for my hubby.

Some good news is...i researched dealer bonds and contacted DMV. I now have the dealer bond information and i'm hoping hoping HOPING that someway, somehow we can get some money back from this. I've called the bond company this morning and have to send in a bunch of info. Send us your good thoughts!!

This such a good news, but I sure hope you get everything back

Geez, those RATS!! I'm praying you can resolve this by getting your money back. 8K is a lot of money!!! I would be furious. Good luck and keep us posted.

I just thought i'd post a little update. I submitted the information to the bond company and they let us know that the claims received so far on this scammer have big time EXCEEDED the bond amount and they have put us on the list of claimants. They will be taking this issue to court for a judge to decide how the disbursement of the bond money will be paid out. It looks like there are atleast a 100 claimants...

Hi,
I'm glad things are on their way to fixing the situation..and I'm not very familiar with US law..but since you were an innocent third party who purchased the vehicle, I think what would normally happen is everyone would be returned to their original position..meaning, you would get back what you paid for the car because you INNOCENTLY purchased the vehicle
I think the correct term for this is rescission..either way, I hope things work out for the best for you and your husband!

That's not good. I know alot of people don't like to do this but.... I'd call your local TV station that helps consumers. They DO get action! You're going to need help finding these guys and answers as to why that many complaints were filed and these guys weren't dealt with before they scammed so many people. Also, use your Attorney General - that's what they're there for... fraud is a big issue with them, especially in CA. Good Luck Jodi. Keep us posted.
