I'm glad things are on their way to fixing the situation..and I'm not very familiar with US law..but since you were an innocent third party who purchased the vehicle, I think what would normally happen is everyone would be returned to their original position..meaning, you would get back what you paid for the car because you INNOCENTLY purchased the vehicle
I think the correct term for this is rescission..either way, I hope things work out for the best for you and your husband!
