| Yes, I was afraid of that. Again, I'm very sorry. The advise of an attorney may be worth the expense to confirm your fears (and therefore resign yourself to your fate) or you might try seeking it elsewhere on the web.... Maybe start here? http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/money-services/ Don't we all feel so warm and fuzzy knowing our elected legislators are taking care of us by debating bills concerning hate crimes (hey, these laws and punishments ALREADY exist!), illegal aliens (what part of 'illegal' is so difficult to understand????), gay marriage, flag burning, homeless people, traffic cameras, etc., etc..... everything BUT the VERY real and the most serious problems and exploitations that face normal, everyday working class people. As I've said, these are the stories that get me riled, so sorry about the soapbox. Has anyone else noticed we're all complaining but nothing is getting done? It's time to wake up, people. | My gosh, Jodie...this is terrible! I can't believe people can get away with doing something like this. I hope and pray that it can somehow be straightened out in your favor! That's a heck of a lot of money! I'm so sorry this happened to you!

| The vehicle has a lien on it, therefore they don't own it. Obviously, neither did the dealer. They were scammed. Last edited by MrYorkiecrazy; 11-23-2007 at 09:03 AM. Reason: clarity |

| My ears have really perked up about scams now and i've been hearing so much of this happening, last night on the news they were reporting on a lady that bought a wood burning stove and to have it delievered and installed. Two weeks went by and no stove, she found out they filed bankruptcy after the purchase. She talked to an attorney but she's out the money. This must be the thing to do now. We're going to get to a point of not being able to buy anything except from major stores. Sorry ma and pa places...the scammers are ruining it for you... |

| Wow, I've been following this thread hoping there was a happy resolution. I am totally shocked! I had no idea this could happen. I am so sorry y'all are going through this.

| Actually, I don't think 'scam' is the right word here. 'Scam' would indicate an illegal method in which to trick a person(s) out of (usually) money. This method, on the other hand is perfectly legal. |

| I was told to file an online report on their website. So that is what i did. Then i get notified that i need to file it at the county, not the city. So I have to call them now and make a report. |
