| We got him into a routine now. Hes up from around 3pm to 6pm, or what time we can keep him up We found out to let him sleep to 8pm, so we know he sleeps 2-3 hours at a time, so he's up from 8pm till 11:30pm If we can keep him up till anytime after 10pm, he sleeps till 3am, we wake him up, he does his buisness outside and goes back asleep till at least 6am Once he wakes up anytime after 6am, tons of energy for about 3 hours We been feeding him life's abundance dry food since we got him We got the puupy sized food, but still cut each peice into 4's He's all most 11 weeks old , and getting bigger pretty quick Last edited by Fltekdiver; 07-06-2014 at 05:23 PM. |

| Tomorrow makes Chester 11 weeks old! He's going to bed around 11ish , we wake him up between 2-3am, he does his stuff outside, and we wake hi. Back up at 6:30am, he goes right outside again He's holding it now through the night, unless it goes over 4 hours or so, so he's defiantly getting the idea to only go outside. Teething is still a issue , he loves toes and fingers! So we try to direct him towards a teething bone He's really maturing, getting bigger little by little, loving, full of hugs and kisses, but a ball of energy at times! He's very smart, starting to know his name, and very observant. Last night he was on my lap the cat came upto me for pettings , they were nose to nose by about a foot away, but Chester wanted to play, so that was the closest I left them to each other |

| he is a sure a cutie, and LOL has a healthy bark for such a little thing. My Lola has been boating with us since she was about 6 months old, both on our ski boat and our offshore boat so the noise and speed to not bother her. Since she has taken up both swimming and dock diving, I keep a tether on her especially on the ski boat, it's a double edge sword when they love the water. We also have stopped bringing toys on the ski boat since when we were not looking she liked to push them over the edge to see them drop then wined like crazy because she wanted to retrieve it. Sounds like you are training him to go out which I think is the best for male dogs, you might consider trying the bell method. I keep a long ribbon with clump of jingle bells on the end of it tied to the door we exit to take Lola out to potty. She now bats at it to signal she has to go potty, works like a charm and this way there is no need for extra barking. Sounds like this little guy is your world

| oh on the teething be careful of the edible dental chew things and also greenies. They can cause havoc on the pups digestive system let alone cause blockage and choking. When Lola was about 5 months old I had to do a lot of gardening, so I brought her crate outside and thinking I was doing keeping her away from the wood chips, dirt and rocks. To keep her occupied I gave her a large size hard to chew dental type thing. She had it gone in record time, I could not believe she ate it so quickly I looked all around the outside of the cage thinking she could not possibly have finished it. That night for the first time she woke up in her crate barking and crying, oh my her and her cage was a mess from runny stool. For the following week we were in and out of vets offices trying to get it to stop, she got to the point she was scared stiff to go #2 because she was so inflamed and in pain from the constant runny stools. Thankfully it cleared up, with not lasting effects, except LOL she still is very cautious of her butt. I have also had a few friends that had this happen with their pups. I swear there is so much to know that I wonder how I ever survived the puppy stage and LOL Lola is my 5th yorkie!

| Wow thanks for sharing! I'll be careful with him for sure What do you recommend for teething? Last night showed me he's getting into a groove He went to bed at 11pm, went out right before, I woke him up at 2am, he did he thing. Went back to sleep , and this morning I woke him up at 6:30am, no pee or poo Anywhere now for the past several nights , I went with him in the backyard, as we always do, and he went right away this morning, 2 big poos, lol I love the story on the jetski, we can't wait to start to bring him camping with us, we have a 30' camper, and boating with us He's 11 weeks old now today, but still has shots left before we can take him out in public |

| I don't really have a recommendation for teething since most of the edible stuff scares me, there are some other sections on Yorkie Talk more geared to food and treats perhaps it would be good to pose your questions there since more people might see it there. Sounds like he is on a very good track with the potty training. I am very lucky with Lola, we go to bed around 10 and she does not look to go out till around 9-10 am, often I make her go out earlier than she needs to, but if left alone she prefers to sleep in till around 10 am. Hopefully Chester will eventually sleep all night without needing to get up.

YT Addict | I use the puppy nyla bones and chew rings for Pips. Both of my other dogs used these bones. They can't remove any of I and it gives them hours of chewing. Different sizes, different hardnesses and flavors. I replace them as soon as it looks like it can give pieces off of. I get them at petmart tor petco. |
