| We will have to get Villette one of those machines that run by winding a crank. No, not that kind of CRANK! We had lights and radios so there must be computers. I wrote a reply last evening ad it is not on here. HMMMM..It must have been lost in cyberspace... |

LOL on the picture thread - I think that's a cool idea - if I have electricity today I'll be here - we can't leave the house so.... YOU GUYS ARE JUST SO STUCK with me ! Pixiepoo - It is a total NIGHTMARE OUT THERE !! I know it goes all the way to Austin - people are really in a panic - but this storm was just THAT big that I wouldn't be surprised that you all feel it all the way to Austin - I have a feeling lots of Houston people are there waiting it out - What I can't believe is that people are still stuck on the freeways. | |

| [QUOTE=pixiepooh] A few of us have decided that we should put a smile on a face that ALWAYS puts a smile on ours. Lets try to keep this going and I kept it on this thread since most come here to see if Villette is alright. Please anyone else that is sticking it out at home let us know and this is for you, too. We are asking you to post pictures and tell your favorite "yorkie story" if you don't post pictures (like me) your story or stories will be great!! My story: When Molly( first yorkie) first came to me, I knew she had a sense of humor. It was just little things she would do and then look back to see if I had a smile on my face or if I was laughing. Well one day I saw this tin full of treats that looked like they were not full of fat.....so I bought it. The first time I gave her one , she ate it and wanted more but I said no, just one. The next night and from then ever after this is how it went and it was because she wanted to get a rise out of me. After dinner I would take the tin out and offer her one and she would roll her eyes (believe me she could do this) and then I'd offer her another and another and none were good until I'd show her it was the last one and she's say (in her way) yes, yes that is the one and dance around and just loved the fact that I was laughing !! My little comedian.

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Joan...that is SO CUTE of Molly - aren't they just the funniest things ? I can picture you standing there holding out treats till you had just the right one and she accepted it - I SWEAR - Chanel rolls her eyes at me too - they know how to make us laugh and are such little manupulators...there are times when Chanel will sense I have something on my mind - (like today with this hurricane) and she stands on me looking straight into my eyes - I'll look at her .....and she waits for me to smile down on her ....and she breaks out in her HUGE Goofy Smile ! Her head gets to bobbing up and down and she does her "Elvis" face - showing me all her top teeth....it is a REAL smile..... cause she knows I laugh every single time she does this - |

| Okay here is my story...I would notice that things on the coffee table were in a different place then where we had left them or sometimes I was just MISSING things...everything is put in the middle where Maximus can't reach and TRUST me he used to CRANE his neck as much as possible from every direction to try and get the stuff....well one day after my bill was shredded up I decided to do a little test to see how exactly Maximus was getting up there....I put the video camera on the cable box and pretended to go outside..I made him watch as I put a piece of chicken in the middle of the table..of course he was whining and crying and pretending to try and reach it...I looked at that video and not 2 minutes after I walked out of the door..he jumped on the couch and make a leap onto the coffee table..ate the food and thendebated for another 5 on how he was getting off...he was BUSTED!!!

| Here's a 'How Smart They Are' story. Got samples of Hill's science diet after teeth appts. and I've been giving them as treats. They are huge round balls and when Lyta got hers she took it up onto the sofa to munch in peace. Well, she dropped it and it hit the floor and rolled under the cedar chest (which I have in front of the sofa like a coffee table). She immediately jumped down and didn't even pause to look where it hit the floor, but when running around the other side of the chest to catch it coming out from under the other side. I know it's a silly little thing, but that is deductive reasoning at work and I was impressed. It's amazing how focused they get when a treat is involved. |

| I came home the other day to find Carter jumping off from the kitchen table. He had jumped up on the chair, then the table and plopped down for a little nap. Don't ask me why the table is more comfortable that the FOUR beds and various snuggly blankets that are scattered in EVERY room of the house. I think I saw a commercial about this...clean the things you *think* are dirty, and even the one's you think *aren't*

| My favorite story is when Lexi thought she saved my life. (I'm sure some of you have already heard this but I love it) She was about 3 1/2 months old. I was taking a nice long relaxing bath. I have a walk in jacuzzi tub. I had a tall glass of ice tea sitting on the side, a book, and a towel. Lexi was sleeping on the top step. I was in for a long time and I was getting ready to get out, but before I did I wanted to go under the water. I slid down into the tub and all this sudden Lexi jumped into the tub and was sitting on my chest pulling my hair. I freaked out and quickly came up. It was so funny that I couldn't even get upset about the fact that she knocked over my tea and ruined my book. When I came up she started licking my face. I think she thought I was drowning. She has never done this before, infact she hated baths. I told my husband what happened and he laughted so hard and told me "well know you know how to get her in the tub". Haha, he is so funny Here are a couple of my favorite pics and I know most of you have seen these but, I could never pass up an oppertunity to show off my littlest princess...

| I love everyones stories. Yorkies are so smart. Lexi's mom, I just wanted to say that Lexi looks so adorable with the binky, too cute. Villette, I hope you still have electricity and that you all are safe. I really hope this darn Rita dont affect us like Katrina did. Here is my funny story about Gucci. Gucci is so cute, she knows when she has done something she wasn't supposed to do. The other day my daugther was eating a hotdog and left the plate on my nite table. Well Gucci jump to my bed and climb to my nite table and started eating the hot dog. When she saw me she jump down and ran, so fast that I couldnt grab her, to hide under my son's bed. She will pop one ear out and go back in. She only came out after she ate the whole hot dog. This little stinker is so smart. If only I had the energy to teach her some tricks. I was teaching her to seat and she will do great if we were on my bed. On the floor she just ingnores me and goes to play. |
