Lisa and Picc--Thanks for asking about Winston(Lord Winston of Yorkshire Manor:Dhis new name from adorame;)). He did great with the actual removal of the teeth, but he is really irritable this afternoon in dealing with the aftereffects of the general. He had diarreah (sp:confused:)and I think vomiting cause poor baby doesn't smell too good. I got him home at 2 and he quivered a lot until about an hour ago. He is whimpering on and off too and i just cant' seem to get him comfortable. she said not to feed him because of the diar. , but He was acting starved so I fed him a little.
He keeps turning away from me....kinda acting like he is mad at me for this:(?? My other dogs I guess cause they are bigger have never acted this way with general. I'm sure everything will be fine later tonight or tomorrow.

We are so glad to hear that Lord Winston of Yorkshire Manor did well with his teeth removal. I was thinking of him all day! Poor little guy, I hope that he is back to himself soon, it takes awhile for the meds to wear off.

I think Jeter might need to get a tooth taken out, he goes to the vet in a few weeks and they will decide then what the plan of action is, I am hoping that it comes out itself though.

I think reno is going to have to have her puppy teeth removed too. She has this shark teeth thing going on.

Thanks everybody for keeping Winston in your thoughts today! It sounds like a lot of these babies have crowding problems! My vet said it is really common in Yorkies. I'm sure Reno and Jeter will do fine too. Winston is sleeping on my lap now as we type. Poor little guy.....he's never had burps or smelly gas before.....but oh boy.....he's clearin the room tonight:(!! Hopefully he will be all better tomorrow after he gets this out of his system!!

Did Winston have stinky breath by any chance? Jeter just started to get the stinky breath and I noticed the extra teeth about the same time. I was told that extra teeth might be why his breath is on the stinky side. I Brush them every day and he is on very good food:confused:

hey I have a question....what are the rules on advertising that you have a business on the side on here....its like a business like Avon or Mary Kay but a different kind of product...I do "fun" parties. I dont know if its aloud or not to talk about it on here. I've seen people talk about Avon and stuff but since this is a different type of product I dont know the rules on that. No Winston's breath wasn't really that bad. From reading on YT I had heard that this is common in Yorkies, so just as you did I checked in his mouth for retained baby teeth....he had about 3 I think. I'm a dental hygienist so I kinda get into this stuff:rolleyes:....Open Winston Tee hee...if only they would just lay still;), I could clean them myself!!!! That is great that Jeter is getting his teeth brushed everyday....you are doing much better than Lord Winston;)!! He is getting better though. I definitely think the extra teeth can be a contributing cause to bad breath. Food and plaque get stuck in those nooks and cranies. The bacteria in the plaque could later cause cavities and periodontal disease if they didn't get extracted. When I picked up Winston today and he looked so pitiful, I had to keep telling myself and him....it's for your own good honey....:cry8:

Bandit is doing so good....He took to the pee pads very quick...no problems at all. He is listening to me very well. I felt horrible for leaving him today to come to work. my husband called and said he is looking everywhere for me and crying. :( I am so happy I have him home!!

Congrats again Ashley! It's so exciting, isn't it?!? I was just looking at Bandit's Daddy Dog's picture. Wow, Bear has the cutest little face! No wonder Bandit is such a doll.

My Mother's Day was very nice :) How was yours? Abby and Daisy are giving me a new chain link fence for Mother's Day, so I can watch them run and play without being on a leash!

Other than the weather it was a wonderful day.

The trip to get him felt like it took forever....like we'd never get there. But once we did the day flew by. On the way home we stopped in Louisville at Billy's cousins house for a few hours to take a break. When we got home he played alot and slept alot....at first he worried me a little because he didnt want to eat but then I found out his Daddy gave him two treats while I was getting his food ready (grr DH). he slept really good the first night but last night he didnt do as well he kept whining all night so Daddy put him in the bed with us and I didnt find out until Bandit was laying on my head....lol. When I got up I found that he had pee'd in the bed and I could have killed DH again....he didnt put his belly band on him or anything lol....new Daddy thing is killin him lol. He's clueless lol. Daddy brought him up to see me for lunch today and now they are off to the vet.

Oh forgot to add in there....on the way home we found out Bandit doesnt care for the car too much and he likes to sit behind my shoulder and kinda hide, he did this the whole way home, I took a picture of it with my phone and i'm attaching it...also going to put it in my album. Enjoy!!

ok so Bandit just got home from the vet. The vet said he is one of the best looking dogs he has seen in a long time!! GO ME!! lol j/k, anyways he weights 1 pound 14 ounces, not much less than we thought but close, the vet says she'd be shocked if he got to 5 pounds....said maybe 4. as long as he is healthy thats all that matters. So he is doing great!! And now we have to get a stool sample to take to the vet so they can run tests to make sure he is fully healthy!! I cant wait to get off work and go play with him!!:D:D:D:D

Well, congratulations on getting Bandit home, what a little doll he is!

I worked all weekend (I am a Nurse ) and work (3 ) 12 hr shifts a week. My Carson will be 3 on August 15 th. I got him from a breeder in Michigan I was refered to. I have 5 other Yorkies all ages and different weights. If I was married to a vet I would have more Yorkies but with 6 , I am at my limit.

I must say out of all my Yorkies Carson is the best looking and has an a plus personality. He weighs about 6 lbs. People crack up when I put all his Bengals clothes and he wears a number 9 shirt. Carson Palmer's number. Iam home alone tonight watching the Reds game with my Yorkie's my Husband and his 3 Brothers are a the game sitting directly behind home plate in the Diamond Seats !! I keep looking for them. Wish i was there but my BIL was only given 4 seats.

Hi Janie! My friend in Cincy is a nurse too and works mostly weekends at Good Sam. She also works as a nurse at some of the Reds games....she is there tonight....made me think of that when you said you were watching it tonight!! Do you have any group pics of the 6 yorkies? Bandit is still sleeping in the bed....he did so good last night. He woke me up about 6-6:30ish to go potty. I was shocked that he held it that long. He is doing great

Hey Picollo playing Lisa and Picollo....(that was a good question MyPeanutAbbyGRa by the way;)!) I played the clarinet....always wanted to play the flute, but we had a family member who had a clarinet, so that is how it got decided. thanks about the garden. That pic was taken a few years ago and I only wish it still looked as good. I had a toe surgery almost 3 years ago, and it has taken me this long to finally get back to myself..during that time, hubby and son were supposed to be "weeding" for me:rolleyes: there were some weeds that were as tall as tree!! I am just about getting it back though and feeling good enough to enjoy the garden again!!

He loves to cuddle...especially on the heating pad on my bed with me....he is always trying to nudge me out;)!!! They are just tooooofun!!!:D
