![]() ![]() ![]() If you are set on not keeping him, maybe you will consider advertising him here on YT to place in a home by itself without any other dogs about, so that another YT'er may give him a chance in life rather than to take him to the pound. Please, please, please don't take it to the pound. Do you have a picture you can post of him? Wishing the best for you and also for your yorkie, it may just be that he needs to be in a home without any other dogs about. Please, update us and hope your decision will be to place him with someone here in YT. Patti and Jack and girls | |

| ![]() What it sounds like to me is that he needs to be in a home by himself, preferably with people that are home all day to give him all the love and attention that he needs. Surely there must be someone right here on YT that knows someone that would fit this criteria. The pound would be an absolute horrible thing to do to this baby and totally unnecessary. |

| ![]() Rescue dogs in trouble is what rescue organizations do. It sounds like your dog is in trouble. If they cannot take him, then they would surely know of someone who had the skills, time and love to take care of your troubled little one. If you are determined to take the dog to the pound -- could you at least let us know which pound you will be taking the dog to -- I would almost guarantee that someone in your general area would love the challenge of rehibilitating your dog. |

| ![]() a bite is a bite. I've been told that when a dog gets to that level, it is nearly impossible to turn around. This is not true. Dogs bite for many reasons, not necessarily because they are aggressive! I have been bitten by Buddy when he was much younger over a piece of bread that I tried to get out of his mouth, using Ceaser Millan's method ![]() him. Today he would not think to do such a thing. Buddy also bit the groomer. Why, who knows but he just refuses to go back to her. He had his reason but can't tell me. He's a loving wonderful pet. Smarter than any dog I have every owned. He loves people and most other dogs. I think this dog needs his own home. Some dogs are just Alpha dogs and need someone to understand them and correct the problem. THis is a perfect example why there are so many dogs in pounds and rescues. People just do not understand their actions and are lost as to what they can do to trun it around. But most are not BAD DOGS. Please call a rescue, they can help. Good luck, |

| ![]() Please listen to everyone advice. DO NOT TAKE HIM TO THE POUND!!! #1 - They do and probably will PTS #2 - He may get adopted to some moron that doesn't know a thing about him and his issues - And they may wind up Hitting Him or Abusing Him. They could also just decide to 'drop' him off somewhere and then he would be 'homeless' or they could just drop him off at another pound and then he'd be PTS or this vicious cycle could repeat! He is an innocent, helpless soul - Please try to do what's best for him. Is he neutered? If not, this is probably a main reason for alot of his issues. If he gets neutered that's the BEST possible outcome for him. Please contact as may Yorkie Rescues as possible until one of them takes him in. If that doesn't work. Please try to surrender him to someone on YT. You need to explain to 'whole' situation and you really need to screen who will take him. He probably needs to be an 'only' dog and the new owners need to be willing to work with him. And I would not give him for 'Free' - You could collect some sort of 'adoption fee' and you could either donate that fee to a rescue or you could say that after a year or so, you will 'refund' that fee, after you see how he works out in that new family. But, PLEASE - DO NOT DROP HIM OFF AT THE POUND! - That is the WORST - The ABSOLUTE WORST thing you could do for him. Believe me please - He is NOT a lost cause - He deserves a Chance! Just b/c he has bitten and drawn blood doesn't mean he is an aggressive dog, Yes he has issues, but they are workable, Please be responsible and do what ever it takes to get him that Chance at a Happy Life. I'm sure this dog can be rehabilitated, and I know you must care a lot for him, or you wouldn't have come here first. Listen to the good advice you're getting, and try to find a rescue or a home that knows how to handle a situation like this. ![]() | |

| ![]() please dont take him to the pound! someone who knows nothing about yorkies or dogs in general might adopt him and then who knows what will happen to him! Let someone on Yt take him. Skoshi used to hate it when we brush him after a bath and he would be really really mean and has drew blood before. but we have taught him its going to be done anyways and hes gotta deal with it and now he is calm when we do it. He is actually one of the sweetest dogs!! this pup might have been taking away from his mom and siblings too early in life and doesnt know how hard to bite. I watched a show the other day that dogs dont know they are hurting you sometimes when they have been taken away from their siblings too early. their siblings will yelp when they are too rough with each other and they learn what is too hard and what is just playing. |

| ![]() hi, i dont mean to be rude bit a dog is for life and you dont just get rid of them because it gets tough. i agree with all the great advice you have been given. couldnt you try training classes plus also if he is crated a long time he might have issues about that. please give him a chance and try training him. |

| ![]() I am not close to you but I for one would be happy to take him off your hands to see that he gets the help he needs rather than see him end up in a pound. The pound being told a dog bites will put the dog down most likely immediately as they won't be liable for having the dog bite someone and they will not/can not take the time to see he has proper training or care to change the behavior. They are exactly that, behavior issues and certainly can be changed by the proper training. I am not in the market for another baby boy but as I said would be happy to help see that he gets the help he needs and help him find a home that works for him as I am sure many here would be even if travel means shipping. Please don't let this puppy go the wrong way, he deserves the chance. Kim
