I would absolutely want to make this exchange and soon! I'm sure you're smart enough to not send any money and not to meet with her alone but I would do it right away. I know you can find a better family for that doggie without making your baby suffer too long.

The "As is" part that I put on there, I changed it for her when she bought the dog. She said that she wanted 30 days to be able to return the dog if her vet said that there were any problems. So I told her 14 days (I really did not trust her). She was talking my ear off and being a distraction which is ANOTHER reason why I think she was a scammer. So not paying attention I wrote on the contract, "If there are any problems with the dog, refund will be made or other arrangements. She has 14 days to take the dog to the vet or refund the dog". So yeaa I screwed myself. But I really feel that she had it in her mind to sue us before she even bought the dog.

I agree that its best to get the dog back and find him a better home. He deserves that much from you.

| maybe this woman is just plain stupid and thinks that if she can come up with enough reasons ( ie. dog not healthy, not a purebred as represented etc.) to sue you she can get most of her money back AND get to keep the dog ! But this is just my suspicious mind at work ...LOL ! Eileen |

| When you do the exchange, please have someone with you and do it in a public place. I would even recommend having her meet you in front of the police station and do it there. Also have some kind of paper/statement etc., saying that you are refunding her money and getting the dog back. Perhaps if you could make the exchange in front of the police station you could also get an officer to come out and witness the exchange, that way if theres ever any "question" you would have someone in addition to whomever you bring with you to verify things. Hoping everything goes smoothly for you.

She responded with that I have until Oct 17th to refund her the cost of the dog. AND to boot now she is saying that he has a skin allergy and that I owe her ANOTHER $123 for the vet bill. She's calling over and over again. I have only discussed things via email with her that way everything is documented. Im waiting for my Mom to call me back before I go any further (she's a paralegal). Oh...and this lady stopped cc'g her attorney on her emails but Im still cc'g mine. I just want this whole thing over with. I don't want this law suit going into my public record or my credit report (can it do that?). I don't even want to bother taking him to my vet but she hasn't even provided me w/ proof from her vet AND she hasn't even mentioned having any paperwork from her vet. Something is really fishy! She's a scam artist @ work! I can't wait until this whole thing is over. AND to boot, she is threatening to have him DNA tested to see if he's a real yorkie. Don't the owners of his parents have to be willing to do that? I doubt that she will go that far. She's a real piece of work!

| I'd tell her to stop contacting you, and that because of her hostile and harassing behavior you'd feel more comfortable contacting an attorney to deal with this situation. Then I'd contact an attorney and have them negotiate the exchange. I know it'll cost you but it may end up saving you in the long run. Good luck.

| Give the moron back her money and make darn sure it is the same dog you gave her. Do you remember or can you identify him? She is UNFIT TO BE A DOG OWNER. She is a Moron just looking for cheap tricks to make a living thru hurting poor dogs. Get him a good home here and forget this witch. She will illtreat him or he may end up in the pound. She is UNFIT |

| Why do you need documentation from her vet with a diagnosis before you refund her money and get the dog back? Why not just refund the money to get the dog away from her and find him a better home. As for the $123, I would ask for a vet bill there but I wouldn't require a diagnosis just to refund the original money she paid.

| I don't mean to be rude....BUT...Do you understand that there is an innocent life at stake here??? That Yorkie was your responsiblity. You mentioned that you had a weird feeling about this woman from the beginning? So why on earth did you release that poor innocent and helpless Yorkie to her??? And now this wanting a Vet Letter before you refund, PLEASE stop the nonsense and get that Yorkie back from this crazy person! I just can not understand how you can let precious time go by. Tell her you will refund her the $600 and get the Yorkie back. Ask her for the Vet bill she is talking about - And honestly, if she has one and it is for a skin allergy, than try to settle it - either pay half or just pay the darn thing. This is not a stuffed animal we are talking about, this is a life and he may be in danger, all over a lousy $600 - Gosh, I just wouldn't be able to sleep at night |

Perfectly said. Didnt you see the lady who gave away her Mustang convertible as a reward to get her English Bulldog back home safely? That is love, get this puppy back from that lunatic and give her what ever money she is bitching about long as she has a ligitimate receipt. Damned, I would take the dog if I could, but now i am getting one already

. I would make it very clear that the dog MUST be in good health to get $.01 of her refund back. Maybe that way, she'll be more likely to take care of him until he's out of there! As far as her sudden skin allergy, tell her that many people with legitimate allergies adopt Yorkies because they do not cause allergies - nor do they shed. She'll probably have developed migraines by tomorrow, because of the dog (you know..due to his "psycological problems" ). Also, warn her that the continued calling "could be construed (by some) as harrassment".
