It appears that this is how this woman makes her living, she is a con artist going around getting dogs like this and then harassing people for money. What a horrid creature. | |

| And why wouldn't you want the puppy back just because he won't be in a home where he's loved????? It's terribly sad that you care more about being sued than you do about the dog. Isn't pet breeding fun?! |

| Any updates? I am worried about this furbaby and really think you need to just get him back and rehome him with a reputable family. I wouldn't worry about the diagnosis. I would just focus on getting him back. It seems like the longer this goes on the more she is asking from you.

| Wonder what has happened? I got hit by a scammer a number of years ago, coming to my house to buy a Siamese kitten. She sued for $100,000 plus - long story. The last possible day before the court date, my homeowners insurance settled with her. The witch got $16,500 from my insurance company! She came into my house looking for money & she created it hugely by asking so many questions just like your scammer. She was 55 yrs old & had lived off others, the government, all of us for 30 yrs - course I didn't know that until deposition time, etc. Please be careful. Do the exchange with your attorney present, in his office.

Wow! Now I'm curious what happened because I just don't understand how people buy pets and end up scamming them out of so much money!

| Do hope you will do what is best for the pup, and rehome him. Threats are always exactly that ~ "threatening". You have to decide your plan and follow it to the letter. Hopefully, you have the puppy returned, she has her money and this story has a happy ending. Rehoming your pup should be easy, and I don't know of anyone who would spend the $$ on a DNA test unless you were expecting a show quality dog, and then it is questionable. She wanted too much information about your private matters and going forward, be very wary of people who step beyond the bounds of common questions.

| People are just sooooooooooooooo weird now. I used to enjoy people looking at my puppies, but now, I have them look at them on the front porch. There are so many scammers that all they are actually looking for is to see your belongings and security systems to steel at a different time in the future. Just cant trust anyone nowadays. I had a similar scam happen to me. They told me the puppy was full of ear mites per their vet. But, supposedly, they were too small for me to see.?????The vet said that I wouldnt have even known they were there. I offered to pay for the vet and refund the money and get the puppy back. But, nooooooooooooo, they wanted a complete refund plus keep the puppy. I said absolutely not, that it was one or the other, and they were not getting a puppy for free. About a month later, they called the sheriff office and animal control on me. Funny, they came, looked and played with my dogs. Had a great time too!!!!! Please just get your puppy back. After that, put a restraining order on her if she keeps harrassing you. Best of luck!!! |
