Newsto me that AKC would even allow it in the ring. Where was the show and who was the judge?

Ill get back with yall on the name. Im glad most everyone is being very nice about this. I know chocolates are a sore subject for most people on here. Chocolates are not a mutation nor are they sickly. There is a red color gene in the yorkies that comes out. Shannette is working on getting pure chocolate litters. Anyone who would take the time to see one face to face and see the personality these little guys have would be hooked!!

Well, nothing can stop the unethical backyard breeders from trying to destroy the breed with dogs such as these but at least YTCA stopped them from ever being able to be shown in an AKC show after 10/1.

Well I am hooked and I have not seen them face to face even! Very stunning! I would love to see them in the show ring as well! In Labs chocolate is my favorite...Something about that color catches my eye. I would love to get one but will have to wait for that breeder to come along that sells them for what a standard yorkie goes for in my area which is 800-1000k I am not interested in breeding so if you ever come across one with limited registration and low price let me know! I understand the higher prices for babies that are sold without limited registration but 3500 is wayyy tooo steep for me! Good luck at future shows and Ilook forward to hearing the progress make with getting these babies in the rings!

Congrats. I didnt know they would allow a choclate in the ring. But Im so glad she got to show and glad that she won, Shes so pretty.

I love the standard colors and Im all for sticking with the standards my self.
But I love all the other colors too. Your babys are beautiful.

Shannette and carmella did GREAT!! She is a beautiful pup. She brought home 2nd place, but she deserved first. Seems like if the word "chocolate" "parti" "Beiwer" or "golden" is anywhere in a post and something positive is being said...I just know its a matter of time before the thrashings begin....very sad.

I'm sorry if some of the posts sound like trashing or a little harsh but those of us that stay true to the standard it gets a little frustrating to see what's happening to our breed. The standard does "NOT" recognize any other color but what's stated in the standard and when someone tries to bring out another color deviates from what the true standard is and the betterment of the breed is not happening. Please do not take this post as hateful, trashing or harsh but facts are facts and when you strive for another color that's not in the standard you are not doing the breed justice and not bettering the breed! JHMO
