I totally agree with you. But you know honestly, if you won't love the puppy based on it's size, better to give it to someone who truly loves him for who he is. I doubt you will get all of your money back though, IMO. My yorkie poo Bentley is 10 lbs and can EASILY go anywhere with me. He has a bag that fits him just fine, and he isn't heavy on my shoulder at all. Or I simply carry him in my arms. In fact, many places allow me to walk him in the store because he's very well behaved.

I'm currently trying to find him a new home. Hopefully someone else will fall in love with him and want him.

Thank you for the support. If I do get a smaller one, I will definitely be more careful as to where he comes from.

| ![]() I truly hope so. I feel so very bad for the little guy. I can't imagine not getting attached to a puppy. I hope you find what your looking for. I find this story very sad. |

| ![]() how much are you wanting to get for him??? have you posted something here at YT?? let me know how much you want for him and i will try and help you find him a home. you are in Canada so it might be hard for me to help but i will sure try. sounds like you really don't want him...so I am willing to try and help you find him a great home. like i said, i would take him in a flash if i had the money. my hubby wouldn't even pay that much for maggie...i know he wouldn't go for it with another one. anyway...let's try to help you out here. I just hope and pray that when/if you do find one that is the size you want...that it is a good dog, and does not have health problems. i really hope and pray you get all you are looking for. I know what it is like to really want something..and i hope you get it. I'm sure posting something on YT would be a great way to find him a great home. (if you haven't already)

I can understand how you would be mad at the breeder, since he said the pup would not get over 4 pounds. In reality, you just can't make those guarantees. If you decide to rehome him and you are set on a dog 3 or 4 pounds, you might want to buy one that is a older, that is the only way you'll know for sure. Again, good luck! ![]()

| ![]() One of My dogs was supposed to be 3 lbs and I paid extra for her to be smaller and she is 6 lbs. I could never give her up because of her size. Best of luck but you can never get a guarantee on weight

LOL... OK then. I was kind of looking for advice and support and some people on here were very kind and sweet, which I'm grateful for. But you are just rude and very quick to judge I guess. I think that if you don't have anything nice to say, then maybe you should go with your first instinct to keep your mouth shut.

I did buy the puppy and picked him out of two boys (not the litter), but that's only because he was the smallest one and since I haven't seen a lot of 9 week old Yorkies, he looked so tiny to me. The breeder also told me that he was less than a pound. The next day when I had him weighed, he was almost 2 lbs (1.8). The guy told me he would be 3 lbs at the most. So I was completely duped. I never would have gotten him, had I known that he was almost 2 lbs. I'm sorry if that sounds shallow to some people, but if I didn't care about size, then I would have just gotten a different breed. Like a poodle or something and I certainly wouldn't have spent so much money. Is it so wrong to know what you want and expect to get it? Maybe I'm not as passionate about this puppy as some of the people on here are about their dogs, but I've only had him for a week and he isn't what I thought I was getting.
